I am so glad I found this place! I'm a beginning stained glass artist and had been ordering glass online, which is dicey since it's hard to really tell what the glass is like from a photo (and, the shipping is pricey).

I live in the Indianapolis area and had been searching for a local place when I found Classic Stained Glass. I've been there several times and Lori and her family are incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help. They've shown me how to use various tools, helped me with technical aspects of my projects, and basically let me be a kid in the candy shop, roaming around starry-eyed looking at all the goodies. They have a great selection of glass and are always eager to help me find the perfect piece for my project. Somehow they found a shade and style of blue for me that wasn't even listed in the manufacture's catalog or website.

I'm more of a DIYer, so I'm always more interested in the raw materials they have for sale, but the gift shop does have completed pieces and panels that look great and are inspiring. I can't recommend this place enough, definitely check it out if you're...

Well worth my drive! Best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Both Lori and Ann are extremely knowledgeable about the glass and tools and if you can describe they can find it! I forgot that I ordered a piece of absolutely beautiful raspberry colored glass, and even though I’ve only been there two other times (and forgot that I ordered it!) when I walked in today, Lori said “I’ve got your glass”. I’m new to this and Lori doesn’t hesitate to teach and demonstrate and sent me home with the work she’d shown me. Their husbands are also quite helpful. If I haven’t brought my husband along they never fail to carry out my glass and even got in their truck and had me follow them on a shortcut to the interstate! An absolute must stop! I started stained glass a week ago and I don't really know what I am doing, one trip in here and I had all of the tools I needed and so many helpful tips and ideas, I felt like I got my own personalized beginners class. The owners are absolutely lovely and took a lot of time to explain what was in the store and what I might be interested in. They let me try out some tools to figure out which ones would best suit me and gave me the full tour.
