North Vernon City Park — Attraction in North Vernon

Their new pool that they put in looks fantastic I honestly can't say if it is or isn't I didn't use it. Same thing with the tennis courts they look brand new and well done however in order apparently to add these wondrous new additions they neglected the actual park. The playground equipment is broken their little purple car is so broken that you can't even use at the minute you do it just did falls backwards they're little purple airplane is ripped about half out of the ground they're Merry-Go-Round can do with some serious oil the swing sets look kind of new one of the places the playground equipment even has caution tape around it. The pool is great looking forward to spending lots of time there this summer with my family the park however really does need some Attention The slides are broken and part of the other blue slide that's broke is still in the ground so easy for children to get hurt on the playground needs an upgrade and fixed I feel it's a big safety issue so many children play their unsupervised ( not mine) but I do feel the city could do some big improvements the park should be a fun and safe environment for all of our children I think if more parents would speak up maybe the city will do something about it someone's lil ones are gonna end up hurt and I really don't want that please north Vernon show our city park some love...

Upgraded park. Zip lines, awesome swings, etc. The water park area is awesome, too, and the pool is refreshing. They have a walk across the water floating trail trail thing. My son tried it but fell in. He can't swim. The water depth said 3' 6", and the kids walked in and tested it beforehand. I'm not sure if the water isn't labled appropriately or what, but the lifeguard on duty didn't a thing.

This was Sunday, June 26th, at 2-3pm. My son was okay but was under the water for less than a minute. I got him out myself and am always near my kiddos, but it was upsetting that the life guard didn't even flintch. Don't count on the lifeguards to act quick enough. Stay safe. Aside from...
