2nd Time Sports — Local services in Northglenn

I called this place ahead of time to ask if they bought used gear including a board with boots and bindings as well as pants, jacket, gloves and googles. They assured me they bought all of the items as long as they’re newer and in good condition. Based on that I took in everything I had. Once in the store I started talking to an employee while unpacking all of the gear and equipment I had brought. The employee immediately threw the pants, jacket, gloves and googles aside and said they weren’t interested in any of them because they were “out of season.” I thought mid October would be prime time for taking in used ski equipment but whatever, I’m not in the business. I told him I had just called in no less than an hour earlier and was told they would take everything. Nope… said he wasn’t interested in any of it, wouldn’t even look at it. He did offer me $75 for my $1300 Burton set up. I tried to get $100 for it but he wouldn’t budge stating that he didn’t have $100 cash in the store. After I reluctantly accepted the $75 offer he proceeded to write me a check for $75. Apparently they were all out of $100 checks. I called ahead to verify certain things as to not waste my time… all to get there and have my time completely wasted. Needless to say I won’t be doing any business here in the future nor will I ever recommend...

There's just something about a company that delivers great service that calls out to me. I called ahead of going to ask questions regarding a football helmet for my son as it was our first time purchasing one. I was lacking in time, rushing from errand to errand and wanted to know how long it would take to size him for one. Chuck answered my questions without hesitation and welcomed us once we arrived. He quoted me about 20minutes over the phone, however he delivered exceptional service within 5. I asked many questions and he answered everyone, helping me to feel secure with our choice and to prepare for my son's first season playing tackle. When we arrived He knew us, led us to helmets and helped us choose the best fit as though he could do so with his eyes closed. He was professional, knowledgeable, and relatable... it's people like him that deserve tips, not snotty baristas that water our coffee down and try to be sly as they hand you a device with options for the tip amount(sorry, side vent🫣). I will return in the future and seek out Chuck because of the impression he gave me, and definitely recommend 2nd Time...

10/3/2022– Yesterday I purchased a pair of used skis, boots, and a helmet. The son was so knowledgable, helpful, and absolutely hilarious. I took my mom with me and she was thoroughly impressed! I continue to recommend this wonderful shop.

2021–If you live or are staying in the North Downtown Denver area (LoDo, Ballpark), hop on I-25 up to this shop for ski rentals the night before your ski trip! You’ll save the hassle of trying to find parking at any of the downtown Denver rental shops and will save a few bucks on the rental itself. Even better, the family that runs the business is very customer service-oriented and will help you as much as you need! And cherry on top— you can pick your rentals up the day before, use them for the day you are paying for, and they aren’t due back until NOON the NEXT day. Most places will charge for an extra day or require them back by 9 am. This is an awesome perk! I will be back for future rentals and maybe used gear purchases if I decide to stick with...
