EMPANADA ESPRESSO Coffee — Restaurant in Northglenn

Man, I really want to like this place but it just isn't that good. I've now been 3 times here's the report:

Empanadas: taste great but are sometimes undercooked. The only thing worth coming for.

Coffee: mids. Better than starbucks, worse than everything else. Not remotely worth the price.

Smoothies: awful, just syrup and ice. Heinously overpriced for what it is.

To top it off, today I ordered a bacon burrito and they charged me for a different item that costs twice as much. Only caught it cause I looked at the receipt. They refunded me, told me they are out of the item I ordered, and then still charged me for the latte (which isnt very good).

This place is good to get an occasional empanada if you ask them to cook it longer, and is ok at best in every other way. I recommend making the drive to Navah for good coffee + breakfast, or to Zoe's for just better coffee (both at the same price). Jamba smoothies are 10x better for a similar price as well.

I know empanadas are the main thing but yall shouldn't have this huge menu of low/mid quality items at the same price as better competitors in the area. I wanted to be a regular, instead I'll be coming very occasionally to grab some...

It's super good I just haven't had great luck getting what we ordered Went day after opening. Got 3 chicken and cheese empanadas a caramel latte and a mocha latte. Lattes were crazy hot and milk tasted scorched. Once cooled down enough to drink when we got to the zoo we discovered the mocha had no coffee and was just a hot chocolate Came back today and ordered 3 chicken and cheese and 3 beef and a Napoleon. Got a big box and a bag with a single empanada. One would assume the one in the bag would be the Napoleon and the others in the box. What we ended up with was 4 chicken and cheese (one of them in the bag, 3 in the box) and 2 ham breakfast ones (wasn't a fan, they're too sweet to be paired with cheese) and one we couldn't quite figure out what it was. It had egg and some kind of meat that could be described as sausage but it didn't taste like I would expect chorizo to taste like. I can't find a menu with descriptions online just names so I'm not totally sure what the last one was. I love the food it's super good and I'm still coming back but I just want what...

I was really excited to try this place and so badly want to like it but unfortunately it wasn't as good as it looks. First off the employee was very stand offish. He didn't even say good morning or asked how we were doing. It was very awkward and weird. I got and iced latte and honestly it was very mid, I feel like I could've made a better one at home. I tried the veggie empanada and I was so disappointed. The empanada looked very nice and full so I was expecting to bite into a very cheesy veggie empanada. Unfortunately there was no cheese pull or even that much spinach or onion. The empanada was literally hollow and dry with the thinest layer of cheese and spinach stuck to one side of the empanada. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone especially if they're looking for a good empanada. Also for two empanadas, an iced matcha and an iced latte for $29??
