They advertised they were needing Community support for their business. $35 for $50 in movie bucks. Trying to help out as I think community businesses are very important in our slowly dwindling area I went out and spent $175 buying these packets. Gave some to friends and our kids to use as well as saved some for our selves. My wife and I have been twice since valentines weekend both times the place is very empty and slow but the employee’s are so rude and acts like they are busy as can be and you are a bother. Literally this Sunday my wife, myself and 1 other older guy were the only three in the entire place. But the short girl with curly black hair was so rude and didn’t want to help us at all. This is the second time we have been and both times we were in cinema 6 had to go ask them to turn up the sound because you can not hear what people are saying while your watching the movie. Even after asking they said yes they would turn it up but still no different. Broken down video games and parts cluttered everywhere looks like an arcade exploded and left all the Junk in this place for storage. Definitely not the cinema it was a couple years ago.
I would advise getting rid of the snotty rude girl at the counter with curly black hair as a starter and cleaning up the cluttered games everywhere. I am sure there is still plenty of the community that wants to help but when the owners don’t care about how the place looks or is being ran then there is not much the community can do to help them in this case. Hope to see a better environment and employee attitudes on my next visit or it will most certainly be my last visit there
Hope this helps others decide on a visit to this cinema. Thanks for the time to express my...
Read moreAt one time, this cinema would rate 5 stars easily! The amount of entertainment had here was incredible! This theatre had a full arcade and movie selections. I liked that Jersey Jack and more modern Stern pinball tables were available to play. There were a lot of pinball games here. If you enjoyed pinball, then this was your place to go. Finding a place with newer pinball tables is hard around Norton. Retro video games and basketball shootout games were also available. All games (except basketball) were set to a quarter to play. Those were the times of old.
My latest trip to the theatre was less stellar than in the past. Many games on the floor did not work or took your money! Top pinball tables are no longer here. Gnats are now a problem throughout the lobby. You can feel one tap on you every so often.
Bathrooms are still kept up pretty well. Theatre cleanliness can vary upon when you arrive. If the patrons were messy before you, then expect a sticky surprise! There is plenty of parking for guests to use.
I would like to see the theatre go back to what it once was. The amount and prices on entertainment made this theatre a real attraction inside the Norton area. Tuesday matinee is still available and worth checking out. Concessions are pretty much expensive at all theatres at this point. If you are around the Norton area, then this is still a good option to go...
Read moreI, a 17 year old, have been here to watch rated R movies several times with my sister, a 19 year old, who has bought the tickets everytime. She bought two sometimes even three tickets to such rated R movies. Today however I came with my friend to watch a rated R movie and they said that both me and my friend had to show our IDs since we were under 21. My friend, who had just turned 18, forgot her ID at her house and assumed due to prior experience it would be fine. Me coming here several times with my sister who was under 21 with her buying numerous tickets was extremely confused to find this to be a policy of theirs. I saw an over 21 year old friend of mine and got her to buy me a ticket to give to my friend. We got our tickets and went to watch the movie when they told us they had to check our IDs again unless we had someone over 21 with us. Keep in mind I come here all the time with my under 21 year old sister without an ID and have never had an issue. I was able to switch our tickets to a pg-13 movie and the staff was extremely friendly. They, the staff, did nothing wrong just enforcing a policy; however, if this is a policy they need to force it 100% of the time. I have never had this problem before. Once more I will say the staff handled it well and if it was a policy it was my fault for buying the tickets anyway. This whole situation was just unnecessary...
