My husband and I went to Miller’s grocery store to purchase a few grocery’s and captain Morgan while at the checkout I realized I forgot my id. While my husband had his and provided the cashier Debra with his she said with a hostile attitude “YOU ARE BOTH ON CAMERA SO I NEED BOTH OF YOUR ID’S”. We are well into our 30s with 3 children !!! We did not receive a Hi how are you. Did you find everything okay? Like at any normal grocery store Just “ I NEED YOU and YOURS ID” I understand if I needed to show my id also, but there is a respectful and kind way of asking. Not the nasty totally disrespectful way she was treating us from the first second!! I had my mother in law drive my I’d across town to show this Debra cashier. While I walked it back into the store to show her she starts screaming “get out of the store or I will call the police”. Totally confused Im completely embarrassed at this point because of this Debra cashier screaming it so the whole store can hear her like I was stealing or destroying the store !! My husband called in to talk to the “store manager” she refused to give her name and stated Debra told her I cussed her out! I am a nurse, kind, empathetic individual that has worked through this pandemic !! . I would never in a milllion years treat a individual the way I was treated tonight!! Debra was lieing to justify what she did when she had no right to throw me out of the store for doing absolutely nothing !!!!! I feel targeted from the beginning !! I have never been treated the way I have been treated at Miller’s ! I will never do business here again and having multiple family members in Norwalk I know they...
Read moreToday I (20) Went into the store this evening with my boyfriend ( 22 ) I went and got a bottle of sweet tea I wanted to buy , and he went and got some alcohol he wanted to drink . I went down the aisle to find him and quickly walked up to the registers when I had found him . We went to separate registers because 2 of them were open . As soon as he went up the lady helping him asked if I was in the aisle with him and he said yes but he was buying it . Then the lady who was helping me said “ well you can’t sell to him if she was down there with him” then asked me for an id, I told her I do have one , I’m not buying the alcohol I’m buying the sweet tea because that’s what I drink . Then my boyfriend said “ well if we walked out and I came back in , youd sell to me that’s pathetic and you need to talk to your manager about changing that . As we walked out I told them I have cancer and I don’t drink , which is true .if they want to refuse to sell to someone who is 21 because of another person walking down the aisle , that’s pathetic and that should be the law , not selling to 21 and over lmfao . Not to mention I’ve been down that same liquor aisle actually looking at stuff with my mom and grandma in the past and it’s never been a issue but now that it’s just two younger people they want to assume and refuse . My boyfriend then dropped me off at my house and went up there by himself to get his liquor and they still wouldn’t sell to him lmfao...
Read moreI used to shop there when it was gardeners, and then when it changed hands. I pretty much stopped when I saw the show they put on for the plandemic with the unlawful mandates, stop signs, threats if you dare come in without a useless face muzzle on and social distance nonsence. Since then all that crap has been disproven a long with the jab being a bioweapon. I decided to give them another try because I hate Walmart and I believe in mom and pop stores. One day I went in to get some adult beverage and signs were plastered everywhere, and I mean everywhere saying I had to show my drivers license to buy alcohol! I am 65. Why? I bit my tongue until yesterday. I asked the checkout girl why and was promptly told it was to keep track of who buys what and so they don't get in trouble selling to minors. Did I say I'm 65? I said no one else asks for an id and was promptly told the list. I said I don't shop there. Then I was told by (Karen) that if I didn't have my (papers) I couldn't buy alcohol of any kind and if my id was expired I couldn't buy alcohol. Excuse me? I'm still the same person and I'm still 65 and alcohol is not illegal, so What? I said that seemed intrusive and unwarranted. I'm done with...
