Goodwill Store & Donation Center — Local services in Novato

The 5 stars are for my first two visits for donating - very helpful employees, they took everything I had - terrific experience, much better than the one closer to home :-( However, today the website indicates it's open 10-6. I arrived at 10:30 and not a bin or person in place.) Then I saw a big sign leading me around the back of the building, where some donations seemed to have been lined up against the back wall. I unloaded my own car on the sidewalk but the woman who was already there was digging through the prior donation, ripping open bags and taking stuff which she shoved into plastic bins and put in her white Toyota SUV. I left feeling sad because I am sure she went into my stuff when I left, meaning Goodwill wouldn't get it. I didn't have the energy to reload my car so am sorry if my donations...

Have visited so many all over and have had luck sometimes finding good stuff but sad the children selection at this one is so scarce. Pretty organized and clean though. Clothing Kinda pricey for me to buy anything here for myself when I can go buy things new for the same price at retail shops and guarantee there’s no rips or holes and that being said if they would sale everything cheaper at all Goodwills, they can get rid of everything faster and bring in more money when everything is said and done. It’s for a good cause so I will definitely continue to keep shopping and dropping off...

Kinda ridiculous i was about to pay a plush I had found on the floor at the toy section and when I went to go pay it the lady had said the plush that I had was taken out of the bag and if I wanted the plush I would need to buy the bag that it was taken out off which is ridiculous it was one tiny little plush and I couldn’t get it. I had found the plush on the floor it’s not my fault people take things out of the bag! Maybe don’t put small plush into bags cz people will open them and then just throw them around or leave...
