My 2nd time in there, was told my nails couldn’t be painted because they were too short. I recently moved to the area and wanted to check out a new place. I have a nail tech I have been seeing for 4 years, my nails have been the same length- she never complained my nails were too short & couldn’t be painted. A professional nail tech would figure it out. Charged me $20 for a regular manicure, which was not even 15 mins long with a base clear coat and a top clear coat, one thick coat each. Tony did my feet, he was professional and did a great job. Overall service of the salon was poor. At the register the owner asked to pay in cash, I told her I had enough for pedicure and that I can get more cash from bank while waiting for my friend. She pointed to the atm- i told her last time I had a large fee from atm and my bank so I would rather not. I told her I would pay for pedicure in cash & put manicure on card because it’s a higher fee. She rang up the pedicure for card after I explained to her I had enough cash for the pedicure. My friend who got her nails done realized it was chipped and the color wasn’t what she had asked for so I took her back to gef it fixed. They charged her $25 to change the color for which she had originally asked for. They try to make money off of you every which way possible. The service they provided is a ripoff. They want people in and out the door. There are better salons out there, check out other places before you settle for this one.
2 weeks after manicure:
My finger got infected from the manicure I got there. They used dirty tools on my hands for my manicure. It’s been 2 weeks, I have been using antibiotics and warm water with salt as per my doctor’s orders. I tried calling them, they aren’t answering my calls. Infections spread to the body, if this doesn’t heal in a few more days, i’ll be taking other actions...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would! The experience I had at this establishment was Unfathomable! I requested a fill in. I specifically told Jason after he asked. “I DO NOT want a cut down, I’d love to keep my length and shape. I just want a fill and this is what I’d like.” I walked with nicely designed turquoise nails and walked out looking like I was about to go play in a scene from Tales of the Crypt. While sitting at Jason station he walked away two or three times taking at least five or more Minutes each time he’d step away from his station before coming back. The only reason I came here was because it was recommended to me by a friend and was highly spoke of. But once I saw that my nail weren’t looking like the quality of nails that everyone was Raving about via the online reviews I had to speak up and let him know that i was not please with some of the shapes of my nails. He got so upset, threw his drill back into his bucket, tripped over his coworkers chair and told me to get up and wait for someone else to come help me fix my nails. As I went to the front and showed the owner what Jason produced she said she saw nothing wrong with it and she’d walk out with what I was showing he’s he’d done so far. At this point he has already buffed and was preparing to polish. I showed her what I walked in with and she tried to say it could be the polish. There isn’t enough magic polish in this world to correct the height difference, misshaped and lopsided disaster I walked out with. I will not be returning and will not and would not recommend anyone to frequent this establishment. Very disappointed in the customer service and professionalism of Jason and the lack of accountability of the owner not even Acknowledging the work...
Read moreI just started getting my nails done (acrylic tip w/gel polish to help my nails grow) while on vacation in Atlanta the past few wks & had amazing experiences.
So after getting back to the island & reading several reviews I decided to try Couture Nails & Spa today. I was able to get a same day appt w/Tee (chosen based off reviews) & while my nails turned out pretty I was very disappointed/dissatisfied with the customer service.
I originally requested the removal of the acrylic tips & to add gel polish. However, when I asked about the ability to maintain a decent nail length, since my nails break easily, I was told acrylic powder is stronger. She then mentioned a gel powder but when I asked what the difference was she said "they're both the same."
Now at this point I had googled it & knew it wasn't but as I tried to get clarification I could clearly see she was getting frustrated & had an attitude. Her coworker, sitting next to us (Vee) started laughing then they spoke to each other in their language which of course is a dead give away that their talking about you. Which is highly disrespectful & unprofessional.
As a nail technician you should be able to provide proper information regarding maintaining healthy nails, etc.
To say I was disgusted is an understatement but my daughter was with me, so I kept my thoughts to myself, as not to cause a scene.
However, I will not be returning to this salon & would never...
