Worst car service experience I've ever had. Set up an appointment for a Saturday to have new tires put on with a rotation and to have them check out a clanking and screeching noise coming from the rear and front end. All went well at that point, they seemed to be able to get me in quickly and the lady on the phone was very informative and nice. A few hours before I was going to drop it off on Saturday they called and cancelled my appointment because their mechanic called in, so they rescheduled me for the next Monday at 2:30pm. Apparently there's no other mechanics. Wasn't offered anything but a sorry. Brought the truck back on Monday and dropped it off at 7:30 AM filling out a drop off form because they weren't open yet, like the lady on the phone told me to do. Got a call at 3:00pm from the mechanic and missed it because I was working, called back 10 minutes later and was put on hold for 15 minutes, kept getting different girls answering every few minutes asking why I was calling. Eventually I just left a message for the mechanic to call me back. Waited an hour and still no return call, so I called back again.. the lady said they hadn't started on my truck yet and that the notes supposedly said not to start working on it until 4:30pm… I told her I had an appointment at 2:30, and she said oh well we thought it was a drop off and now we're really backed up so it might take a while. Now it's 4pm and I get off work at 4:30 and was expecting it to be done so I could drive it home. I work within walking distance of Farm and Fleet. They called me back just before 4:30 and said that they were going to start on it soon, she told me the price for the tires, rotation, and price for alignment. So I walked to Farm and Fleet and got there around 4:45 and waited for 25-30 minutes before they finished my truck. Then they told me that there was nothing wrong with my truck and it was just a slightly loose tie rod, which I know wasn't causing all the clanking and screeching, but if they would of took some time to drive it around the parking lot they would of heard that something was wrong with it. She told me I had to reschedule for another appointment to have the tie rod tightened, and for the tire alignment. She said there was nothing about an alignment in the notes, which made me wonder why she quoted me for an alignment earlier. During check out she asked if I wanted the tire warranty, I told her no that's fine but she still charged me for it anyway. Didn't realize it until I got home. Lets just say it was my first and last time bringing my truck to Farm and Fleet, made an appointment elsewhere.
Update to one and a half weeks after I had the two new tires put on... first time driving in the rain was the last time for my Jeep, my back tires slid out from the rear end, where the new tires were installed,.. and I lost control and hit the cement median. Totaled my truck. Coincidence that the first time driving in the rain with the new tires I crash? They are obviously inexperienced mechanics and didn't recommend the right tires or possibly even put them on correctly. I requested they put them on the front but they convinced me they should go on the back.. DO NOT GO HERE FOR...
Read moreI went there for two new front tires. I got all weather star fire tires. They are a little cheaper but my car is older so I opted for those. I made an appointment ahead of time. I got there and it took them 45 minutes before they drove my car into the garage. One and a half hours later the lady behind the counter apologizes for the wait and says it will be probably another hour because the mechanics couldn't find my tires and just finally located them. ( I didn't buy that, but regardless, really?) I said fine. An hour later they were finally done and she informs me they put them on the back of my car instead of the front where I wanted them because my back tires were getting worn and winter was coming and I didn't want to drive around with almost bald tires on the front. So now my nice new tires are on the back and I am back to square one with bad tires on the front. I realize they wear faster when you put them on the front but I didn't have enough money for 4 tires so I had to do what I could. Then she proceeds to tell me that if I don't buy 2 more tires from them I will be ticketed by the police because apparently they drive around stopping people for low tire tread. I was like ,"OK but I don't have money right now." She gave me attitude especially after I didn't buy the insurance. I go out to the parking lot to leave and I start my car and it's super loud. Like ridiculous loud. When I got there my car was quiet. Well, I didn't trust them anymore so I drove to another mechanic and find out that my exhaust pipe was split in half. $285 to fix that. I am here to tell you that they did something to that pipe. There are coincidences, sure, but I don't believe it. They are trying to get extra work for themselves or they unintentionally did it. Then my NEW Tires SQUEAKED super bad for about 3 months. Like embarrassing bad. I couldn't even turn the corner at 10 miles an hour without it screaching like I was a race car driver. And to top it off, they messed up my alignment so bad that my car veers to the right so bad I can't let go of the wheel for a second or I'm headed for the ditch. Go elsewhere...
Read moreI bought a battery a couple years ago. Fast forward to two weeks ago. Battery no longer holds a charge, have to jump start car every other day. I take my battery in since it's supposedly under warranty. I am told that there isn't a record of my sale, but the core exchange is documented. Bizarre since you literally can't do that unless you buy a new battery, but I'm told it should be ok and the clerk has to step outside to verify the battery. I'm told after the next customer I would be taken care of. Five customers later I'm still waiting and I can't stick around anymore. As I'm leaving I remark to customer service about this and I'm literally brushed off and told that they can't do anything about how the auto dept runs things. I leave, call and ask to speak to a manager about this issue because at this point I don't know if they will even honor their warranty or not and I wanted to make an actual appointment to avoid what I went through the first time. I get zero apology for having me wait around until the entire store is taken care of first and the closest appointment is 2 weeks out. I take it, which was earlier today. Go in, come to find out they will not honor their warranty. Why? Because the battery although operating at less than half the amps it should isn't technically totally dead although it does not hold enough of a charge to reliably start my car. Anyway, I figured I'd at least put this up for people to see. I bought a battery from them because I was told they have good quality batteries and they stand behind them. Both of these are lies! Worst customer experience I've had in years by a long shot. Save yourself the headache, give your money to a business that actually...
