Absolutely AWFUL, just a place for Walgreens to make money and not provide service. Pharmacy doesn't stand a chance.
I've made 3 calls today to Walgreens trying to talk to them about a prescription before I go to pick it up -- the first call was 36 minutes long, I was on hold the entire time. They hung up. The second call, 26 minutes, they hung up again. Against my better judgment, I tried a third time. On hold for * AN HOUR * and my call rung out until being finally disconnected. I don't have the time in a 14 hr work day to leave twice to go do the admin work of actually talking to someone to get my prescriptions taken care of. They should be able to do certain things over the phone. The app doesn't even let you add a credit card to try to save yourself the hassle of going in person to pick up your meds. What I go thorugh today, I've gone through at least once a month for the last three or four months. It's honestly a circus.
There's been so many occasions they don't tell me they don't have the medicine I need until the day I need it filled, then if i try to circumvent that drama, they won't fill a prescription until like 6 days before its due. I ordered it on the 6th day before it's due, and they say they're working on it and will have it ready for me on the day I need it, only to tell me on the day I need to TAKE the medicine that they don't have it. There's been other times they flat out remove a script fresh from my MD with refills from my profile with no reason.
There are a few friendly pharmacy techs (Omar is very helpful), but the majority are overworked, underpaid, and pulled in a million directions. They are UNDERSTAFFED here. When you're on hold, they have no problem circulating your call and hanging up and not calling back. Seriously, the worst customer service. I honestly don't gripe a lot but we're moving all our...
Read morePossibly the rudest and the most unprofessional pharmacy staff ever!! If you have to pick up a prescription that means that you are to a degree a patient. This pharmacy staff treats you with an unparalleled level of disrespect and carelessness. The Pharmacy Technicians are not well trained and most have poor customer skills. The Pharmacists which are supposed to be role models and lead by example, are the worst culprits of all. Asking this staff questions is like a cardinal sin. The techs do not know the answers and the pharmacists respond to you with disrespect, yelling and with an incredible attitude. It is downright flabbergasting. They do not take accountability and solve all wrong doing by just saying: “ Come back in an hour ior two”… As a doctorate prepared healthcare professional, I am embarrassed of the display of patient care bestowed at this pharmacy. I know firsthand what it is to be swamped and busy at work. However, you never forget that patients have unmet needs and deserve to be educated, treated with kindness and respect. Shame on you! Do your job as per oath. If it is that they hate their job then they should leave the profession. I advice them to change careers and go do a job that does not require caring for patients. Walgreens—- education is not the only requirement to hire. Re evaluate your employees’ soft skills and strengths. These folks you have hired are a disgrace to the healthcare professional world!! These thoughts are not based on only one...
Read moreTerrible dealing with this location or any Walgreens, honestly.
On 1/27, I came to pick up a prescription that was ready are waiting for me, and provided a savings coupon. Something went wrong when the tech applied the coupon, causing a problem that prevented me from picking up my medication. After waiting an hour, the pharmacist told me she would resolve the issue with the insurance company on 1/28 and call me. However, I never received a call. Instead, the app notified me that my prescription was now out of stock and needed to be ordered.
I called and was on hold for 30 minutes before the pharmacist told me she was checking the fridge for my medication, then hung up on me. Then the app updated me that the cost of medication was 6 times more. When I called back, I was on hold for an hour and 20 minutes before being disconnected again and during this time the app updated the price was 10 times more.
I can’t get through to anyone who can actually help, I've called the center and no one can assist at all. What is the point of the center? I’ve wasted over 4 hours today trying to resolve this issue so 8 can pick up my medicine. I still don’t know what’s happening with my prescription or if it will be resolved. How is this level of...
