The Ahwahnee Gift Shop — Local services in Oakhurst

Wanted to get some quick souvenirs and gifts after doing a 10 mile hike around Vernal and Nevada falls, so stopped here on our way out of Yosemite. Took a couple of minutes to find parking at 2:30pm on a Tuesday in September. They have a nice collection of stuff, although a bit expensive. I got some jams, postcards, beef jerky, and other snacks. The jams turned out to be really really delicious. Had to wait a couple of minutes in line for checkout as well since there was only one staff member there. They give a sturdy nice-looking Yosemite-branded green bag for 10 cents, so...

Incredibly disappointing to see them selling Native inspired designs that are made in Thailand. In a place like this, with such a historic Native history, to be selling such items is not only upsetting, but it is irresponsible. I was truly appalled and walked out immediately.
