A Magical 4-Day Adventure in Yosemite’s Backcountry
I recently returned from an unforgettable 4-day backpacking trip in Yosemite National Park, and I can't recommend the experience enough. From start to finish, it was everything I hoped for—and more.
The backcountry scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Towering granite cliffs, serene alpine lakes, and sweeping vistas greeted us at every turn. It felt like stepping into another world. Each night, we camped under a canopy of stars so brilliant, it was hard to look away—an experience that made me feel both small and deeply connected to the natural world.
We also had the chance to do some rock climbing, and the thrill of scaling Yosemite’s iconic terrain is something I’ll never forget. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned climber, there’s something here for everyone.
Our stay at the backpackers camp was another highlight. The community of fellow adventurers was welcoming and inspiring.
Before heading home, we treated ourselves to a meal at Seven Tents Pavilion—and wow, it exceeded expectations. The food was delicious, hearty, and exactly what we needed after days on the trail.
If you're considering a Yosemite trip, don’t hesitate. Whether you're climbing, camping, or simply soaking in the beauty, this place will...
Read moreI felt like the visitor center was nice but it honestly didn’t have the friendliest park rangers there providing information. At least the lady who we went to. When we asked if she recommended driving up to Glacier Point (given how crowded the park was that day) she just said yes you can drive there. I asked if it was crowded up there in terms of parking and whether it makes more sense to take the park shuttle if that’s available. She simple just repeated saying I have no idea but you can drive there (which obviously I was able to tell from the map).
Next, I asked her is there anywhere we could swim. She said just go anywhere along the Merced River. There are definitely spots that have stronger versus calmer currents which we noticed while driving. So it would’ve been nice if she provided some of that information, which park rangers at other national parks had no issues sharing with us.
Just made us feel like we waited for 20 minutes in line for information and was basically told what we...
