I called on this company because of the apparent quality of work and speed of action that I saw with my neighbors landscape projects. My experience however was chasing a landscape consulting to get an appointment. After 4-5 calls getting an appointment set. The consultant, Joe, from Sherwood Forrest not only missed the appointment but I had to call him to let him know that I had left work to be there. He apologized and then I agreed to meet with him two days later. He toured my property advising me of the inadequacy of the trenching on my borders and over abundance of mulch and then recommended some plantings. In addition we discussed a patio project. I asked him to provide me with a quotation so that I could budget for the project. 4 weeks later I reached out again to be told by Joe that the designer has not been engaged yet but promising that it would be done. It is now 8 weeks later and during my call with Joe today he advised that there was still no quote. When I complained he told me how many clients he had and that he could not remember me out of that myriad list. Based on his lack of customer focus and condescending approach I advised that he no longer needed to remember me as a potential customer. Awful experience with this process and no call back from a manager yet. No need to inquire with this company they have their favorite customers and do not need...
Read moreI had landscaping done in spring of 2017 and I was very pleased with their service... with the exception of a couple of items. First, they did annuals, perennials, moved some landscaping around, and planted a new tree. They did a great job and I was very pleased with their service, even if it took a while to get them out. However, I noticed afterwards that they (a) cut through a sprinkler line and (b) cut through some lighting wires when doing the planting of new plants. I emailed and called them on this and eventually they sent someone to do the lighting but the cost for the sprinkler was never covered. Basically, I was advised that they are not responsible for that, so it cost me $100 to fix.
Anyway, fast forward to spring 2018 and I wanted to get them over to (a) re-plant a tree that died, install perennials instead of annuals, add some more flowers, trees, mulch etc. Well, after at least four phone calls, and multiple promises, six weeks have passed by and I haven't had a single quote or visit. I was a strong advocate of their service and happy with their service... but just because a tree died and needs replacing shouldn't make them avoid me...
Read moreIt's a lovely place with a fantastic Santa but unless you are prepared for a store credit or exchange on any gift you purchase for the holiday, forget it. They do not issue credits after December 1. My Christmas shopping did not begin until after December 1 and I purchased a gift for a family member only to find out someone else in the family had already purchased the same gift. (It was an Everlasting Glow Flameless Candle which was $35). Unfortunately Christmas ornaments and floral arrangements were NOT on the gift request list so exchanges/store credits were not about to work! In addition, I was not told about this policy at the time of purchase so I am now an owner of a candle I don't need. Going forward, Christmas presents will never be purchased from this...
