Read moreWhoever I was just on the phone with was a complete jerk! So rude! Very dismissive, unresponsive and unhelpful. I was trying to pick out a tree to plant during my wedding ceremony and he interrupted me, disgruntled, "I don't understand your question" in the middle of me explaining my needs! So I told him outright "I need a small tree that can be potted for about 4 years that ideally won't fruit like a crape Myrtle or a Japanese maple." And he immediately told me they don't have those and I need to just come in. Of course I planned on coming in but I wanted to call ahead and inquire. He told me again to just come in and check other nurseries while I'm at it. HELLO! This was not the first nursery I've called and it won't be my last. I told him I don't own a car which is why I'm calling around first. Honestly, I shouldn't even HAVE to tell him that! He should just let me finish my question before he jumps down my throat and treats me like I'm not doing my do diligence. He didn't offer back up suggestions or other trees that they do have that might fit my description. He didn't tell me when to expect more selection. Nothing. He just pushed me away and told me to come in. Like a bored teenager at a weekend job only he was a grown adult. Why would I ever waist my time to go to your business? If that's how I was treated over the phone, that's likely how I'll be treated in person. I ultimately thanked him ended the conversation since I was getting nowhere with him. However I wish him to know that as a representative of this local business you should conduct yourself with more poise and kindness. Customer service is what small businesses thrive on. This man made it difficult for even ME to stay polite and professional! Garden Nursery lost my business. I suggest you train your staff to act...
Read moreLovely selection of plants. Have come here on and off for the past 3 years. However, my past two visits havenât been the most pleasant. I was looking for a few particular plants and asked questions about where I might find them. Both staff members proceeded to tell me they only knew the botanical names of the plants. While I do know a good amount about house plants, I canât say I know all of the precise botanical names. Instead of trying to help and provide guidance, I felt as though I was being belittled for not knowing exact names. Both staff members brushed me off and pointed me into the indoor room (which I had already been in a few times that day) and proceeded to ignore me as I asked more questions. It seems they were friendlier to other folks who presumably were older and not POC. Very disappointing , as I love their plants but I donât want to go somewhere where I feel belittled and...
