Phuong and John/Quang were so helpful. I was looking for the right seamstress, and out of all the shops I called, LP Couture sounded the most assured and confident that they could get the sewing job done.

I wanted to test them out, so I asked if Phuong and John could increase the width of the pants legs of one of my jeans using material from another pair of pants I had available. They told me it would take a week and charged me only $50. That may seem a hefty price, but this is a custom alteration job, so it was a reasonable fee. I returned after the week was up, and the pants were wider than expected, considering I asked them to use ALL of the pants material I had provided. Since I overshot the alteration request, I asked if they could reduce the width size, so I was charged an extra $30. After a few days, I returned, and the pants were just right. I recommend LP couture to anyone.

Phuong at LP Couture is so amazing, and she literally saved my wedding day. The seamstress who had been working on my dress fell so ill, and did not communicate this properly to me, so when I went in for my final fitting 48-hours before I had to leave for my wedding, my dress wasn't done. I started calling around, and no one said they had time to help. I started walking up and down Piedmont Ave with my dress, and I walked into LP Couture, and Phuong immediately confirmed she could complete my dress in my 48-hour time window. I almost broke down into tears. The entire back of my dress along the zipper was still pinned into place, so she completed all of that sewing. She also added the bustle. My husband and I needed Vietnamese ao dai for our belated wedding celebration and tea ceremony with our family, and discovering LP Couture was the best thing that could have happened for us. Because I am a size 14, off-the-shelf ao dai could not fit me. So after discouraging experiences on Etsy and in San Jose, working with Phuong was a dream.

During the design phase, she was collaborative, receptive to, and creative with incorporating my ideas. She was able to work with the fabric I brought after confirming the dimensions. Expectations with the number of fittings and timelines were clear from the beginning. I also added an outer robe (which she made with gorgeous piping) to my order without any issues.
