It really don't even deserve one star but that's the only way I was able to comment but they will try to charge your card even when you go to cancel your account even if you sign up for the account where there is no bull crap of if you want to cancel they're not supposed to charge you I tried to cancel my account and they have continuously tried to charge me several times since I've canceled I got a membership at Planet Fitness which was way better I got way more access to all kinds of stuff for weigh less and the people that work at Gold's Gym are highly racist to people they are really rude one person will tell you can do certain things and another will tell you you can't you can't use their recovery room unless you're a gold member which I think is ridiculous and they want way too much to be a gold member I could go to Planet Fitness and pay way less and get way more access to everything they try to charge you outrageous prices they want to try to charge you to bring somebody with you even if you have an account with them you can go to Planet Fitness if you have an account with them you can bring anybody you want anytime you want and not cost you or them I just took my friend the other day so she could go and see how much better Planet Fitness was then Gold's Gym she would rather go to Planet Fitness and Gold's Gym but has already the gold membership with the Gold's Gym so basically it doesn't matter if she wants to go somewhere else or not they're still going to keep trying to charge her account so she might as well just stay there and continue to go there because they are completely ridiculous trying to charge people after they want to cancel their account and they told him you want to cancel your account you've got to do it right after you pay for it so basically you're paying for nothing if you only want to try it out and use it for one month to see how it's going to work you're better off going to Planet Fitness they give you great deals and you get all kinds of offers when it comes to friends and family you can send them a referral or whatever and it gets you so much off your bill and them a certain amount off their...
Read moreI signed up before the gym opened with a membership that included classes and at the time they told me that a locker would be included for an additional fee that I paid each month. I did not actually go to the gym for a year and when I finally went in, the owner stated that I was never given a locker and there was no way that could have been the promotion. So she refunded my money for the locker that I had paid, but refused to honor what they originally told me. Today, my daughter and niece were working out and a member of their staff went up to them, while they were working out, and told them that there was a problem with their membership. She couldn't wait until they had finished their workout, she actually stopped them while they were working out, embarrassing them in front of others who were working out! She told my niece that she had to pay the adult membership now. When my niece tried to explain to the owner that they had honored the teen price, she said that when you start driving then they generally change the membership! She is still 17, still a teen! So, my daughter called me and I told her to take her phone so I can speak to the owner, she then stated to me that she would honor her teen membership until she turned 18; however, she refused to listen to the girls and pretty much wanted to up her membership to twice the amount! So, I canceled my membership as well as both the girls, and do not recommend them to anyone. The gym is nice, yes, but I refuse to do business with people who cannot keep their word...it happened twice to...
Read moreI’m beyond frustrated with my experience at Gold Gym. I moved to Ocala 6 months ago and decided to check out this gym about 2 months ago. A sales associate gave me a tour and convinced me that this was the perfect gym for me. He promised that they would call me towards the end of the year when the best promotions were available. Guess what? I never got that call.
Fast forward to recently when I went back to the gym, only to find out that the employee who made all these promises no longer works there. The promotion he told me about – $1 down and $37 a month with no commitment – ended the day before I showed up. I went to the gym the very next day and spoke with the manager, who basically said there was nothing he could do. Now the promotion is $49 a month plus tax.
It feels shady and dishonest. I was misled, and now me and my brothers will NOT be joining. It's clear they don’t value their customers. Honestly, it’s like they don’t care about earning anyone’s business. Very disappointing!
Guess my money isn’t green enough or might be something...
