I went here because of recommendations from friends. They claimed La Fiesta to be the best Mexican restaurant they've eaten in since leaving Texas. That's quite a recommendation, so I was excited about trying it out. I also lived in Texas for 28 years, so I've had the "Right Stuff." The menu was so varied, but I opted for the Enchilada Chipotle, $12.95. It consisted of three tortillas. They are normally the hand-made fresh corn tortillas but I prefer flour tortillas. You get a cheese, chicken and a shredded beef. The sauce was tasty and everything was served hot. I expected a bit more spice. One bite must have had some of the pepper in it, because I felt that. But most of the meal was good but definitely not spicy. The tortillas were served with a side of Mexican rice. It was nothing to brag about -- basically just red-colored white rice with no other obvious ingredients. As other reviewers have commented, the complimentary salsa served with warm chips was bland and seemingly out of the jar. I expected better ... something with at least some tomato chunks. I do believe some fresh cilantro was added, but that's about it. I had been warned by my friends that the drinks from the bar were way overpriced, so I just got a glass of water, served with a nice big slice of lemon. I was comfortably full after cleaning my plate and definitely will be going back to La Fiesta. Besides the amazing menu, a big reason to return was server Emily. She was friendly and engaging, and had answers to all my questions. Emily was a huge plus. I recommend you give La Fiesta a chance. It's got to be better than lots of other "Florida" Mexican...
Read moreTried this place yesterday. First thing we tasted was the chips and salsa. The salsa frankly sucked as it had absolutely no flavor. But the chips were nicely warmed which was good. My wife and I both had combination meals. I had a taco, a burrito and an enchilada. The taco was okay with ground beef, and some lettuce. The enchilada and the burrito were the same. Ground beef wrapped with a soft taco. Nothing good about just ground beef wrapped in a soft taco shell! Same thing, it had no taste. My order was like $12 dollars as was the combo my wife had. So our dinners were like $24 dollars total. Okay, we're not going to complaint about that. However, we made the mistake of ordering a couple of margaritas. They charged us $18.50 for each margarita! So we paid $37 for two drinks that frankly weren't anything special. Yes it was a big glass. But overcharging for drinks just made sure we were never coming back. The meal just isn't good to begin with and the overpriced drinks just completed our disappointment. The server was friendly but either pretended not to understand my English or really did not. But she was friendly and did her job well. Not her fault about the meal. I still gave her a nice tip. Basically we paid almost $80 for a very poor meal. They will need to do much better to gain our...

The tortillas that came with it were Awful đ They were small, hard to bite into and chew. The waiter was not attentive . Our drinks were not refilled until we were ready to go, then my husband asked if he could get a refill to go and 2 go boxes for the leftover food we couldn't eat due to the tortillas. It took the waiter awhile. Brings back one box and we had asked for 2 boxes and the to go drink He brings the drink and the bill . Hubby handed him his credit card and the waiter disappears into the back. Smh... We waited and waited. We finally decided to go up to the cash register because the waiter still hasn't returned. Finally someone else walked up and asked us if we needed to pay? we say no the waiter took his card and hasn't returned. So this other waiter he goes to the kitchen to find him. Finally!!! He comes out and says sorry guys. Word of Advice, Never let the waiter/waitress take off with your...
