We arrived in OCNJ with 4 kids very eager to go to the inflatable aqua park as the main activity of our week long trip! We arrived 30 minutes early for our time slot to start. There was a large group of kids, and they were not allowed onto the aqua park until 10 minutes after the hour. Kids were having a blast. However, the teenage lifeguards promptly blew the whistle for everyone to exit at 45 minutes past the hour, giving the kids a total of 35 minutes to play instead of the 45 minutes that were paid for. We were the last time slot of the day and it was obvious the lifeguards wanted to leave for the day. I kindly spoke with the lifeguards and they told me to speak with management. Basically blowing me off. Management offered to give me a $4 refund per child after i waited for her to consult with her staff. She tried to tell me that they only started a few minutes late. Other parents there also agreed on the 10 minute late start. Completely unacceptable and my children left very disappointed. Time should be compensated at the end if they are late getting the kids out on the water. Very poorly managed. We never saw the manager present until the end of the session when she...
Read more2025: July: used OCNJ for two events: fishing and tubing. Fishing: took both sons fishing in back bay-- we had two guides- a woman and young guy. They were both great with my sons. We asked to stay in the bay, which we did. They worked hard to make it an enjoyable event. Tubing: took both my sons tubing (had done it for the first time 2024). 1.5 hrs was probably too long-- probably will schedule less time next time we do it. I felt motion sickness about 1/2 way through-- had to request that captain take me back to dock; he took sons back out for last 30 minutes. Captain seemed a bit rough with the maneuvering-- I eventually was thrown from the tube and incurred rib injury. Overall was good....probably best for young people; those over 45 yrs old should be cautious.
2024: Took my two boys (teen and younger) out for tubing...both loved it, I tried it too- was fun. John was captain- very good. I felt sea sick about 15 min into excursion....told captain....was very understanding...slowed it down...I felt better...was able to enjoy rest of trip. John was very patient and helpful. My son tried wakeboarding too...John assisted with...
Read moreMy 13 year old son and I participated in the Aqua Water Park activity. For 45 minutes of activity, each participant cost $35. For an additional $5 per participant, you could purchase aqua grippy socks, which I highly recommend. Those who did not purchase the socks slipped repeatedly, while my son and I were able to move faster and more efficiently through all of the obstacles. The âwater parkâ has about 15 different obstacles, including a running track, inflatable diving board, inflatable slides and monkey bars. I thought the water park was fun and 45 minutes can feel quite exhausting. However, $35 is a bit expensive for this activity as most full day water parks cost around $50. This water park is a bit small as I saw a similar one in Margate that was easily double the size and cost $40 for one hour. All in all, it was a fun, well-supervised water activity; albeit...
