STAY AWAY - we booked a pontoon boat for 9/28 from 2-6pm. The weather looked like it could go either way, so I called down in the morning and asked a girl that worked there whether they planned on staying open AND if they would call me to notify me if they closed unexpectedly. She said they would be open all day, and answered my second question with “yes we would definitely call if we had to close”. It proceeded to rain lightly over the next few hours, with a heavy rain shower taking place from 12-1230pm. We arranged for ubers to drive us from brigantine all the way down to the rental office (hundreds of dollars in Uber costs) and when we showed up, there was an open sign on the door, but the door was locked and there wasn’t a single employee in sight. We called the number 7 times before someone finally picked up and said “oh yeah we had to close today. No one called you to give you a refund?”. Needless to say we were FURIOUS especially given the promise we were given earlier in the day. Now we are out hundreds of dollars in Uber costs for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, all because of this lazy business. They will almost certainly reply to this with either a lazy canned apology or a false justification, but there is NO excuse for these actions.
Businesses like this don’t deserve your patronage....

Our first experience was great- staff was super accommodating: however, second experience- dealing with the owner (or so she claimed- WOULDN'T EVEN PROVIDE HER NAME- service was horrendous. Her credit machine (iPad) wasn't working correctly, which I explained to her happened to us last time... she didn't want to hear it. She essentially accused me of having insufficient funds in my account (IN PUBLIC, might I add). After dealing with her atrocious behavior, the police ultimately had to be called. The kicker here is, not only did the police reprimand her poor customer service, the officer had to kindly inform the "owner" that her name would be released to me by law. OH, and the kicker is, she ended up CHARGING MY CARD 3 SEPARATE TIMES- resulting in just shy of $1000 worth of charges. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER...
Read moreMade a boat reservation a few days in advance. A day prior we called to confirm. Everything seemed to be good. We showed up the day of the reservation after a few early morning storms expecting to get out since the weather was all clear and we also didn't receive a call telling us otherwise. We showed up to a locked building and no employees in sight. After multiple attempts to call the business we finally got through. The person on the other end couldn't have cared less and stated, "well I guess they aren't sending boats out today". This would have been fine if they actually attempted to call and tell us this! It was some of the worst customer service I have experienced. We ended up going to the rental place next door and had a great time renting one of their boats.
