Positively 4th Street is one of my favorite places on the north end. It is within walking distance of our house and has cool coffee shop vibes that blend the beach and the city. I wanted to add my review before the summer ends!
We showed up for a late breakfast and the line was out the door - as it often is by this time. Their food is not cheap but I am always happy to pay extra to support this local small business that gives my part of town a little character.
I got a cappuccino (peep photos for presentation!) and a B+E+C breakfast sandwich. My girlfriend got Apple Positively Toast (C) on Multigrain toast with cream cheese, fig jam, apples and chia seeds. The have a huge toast menu but none of them have any protein so I went with the sandwich.
I'm not sure what kind of cheese was on my sandwich but it was VERY good and melty. The bacon was chopped and their bread is awesome on everything. The eggs were cut into a square shape, which I actually really enjoyed. The sandwich also came with a chipotle mayo that complimented the flavors well.
The apple toast that my girlfriend got was pretty good. Definitely too much cream cheese for my liking but they use this really good fig jam that I love. There are a few lunch sandwiches that have it as well.
If you are in the area, give this place a try. DON'T be turned off by the fact that the sandwich come in aluminum foil - they are good, I promise. For me this adds to the charm of Positively 4th Street.
My one complaint is that this stupid song gets stuck in my head every...
Read moreIf you want good coffee at reasonable prices then this place delivers. Customer service makes waiting at the DMV or trying to get a hold of n.j unemployment an absolute joy compared to the utter lack of it here. 5 visits there and 2 times were satisfactory and the other 3 times i walked out. They take 1 order and drop everything else till it is finished. No greeting the customers/like hi and welcome we will be right with you. Just moments of silence. Standing by the expresso machine waiting for it to finish instead of taking another order or greeting people is not customer service. The baked goods are tasty/ the coffee is good/ but as a local i am done giving this place any more chances/ doing the same thing over and over is just insanity. This place has location and tourists going for it /sadly ive never seen the owners come out of the kitchen to keep things moving as clearly they do not care. I rarely write any reviews but it just amazes me just how awful their customer...
Read moreThis is the best cafe in Ocean City (perhaps the galaxy). We like it for fabulous brewed drinks, crazy-fresh baked treats and the most cheerful service this side of Disneyland. Start your day with a latte and a butterscotch scone, and you will smile until bedtime. The chalkboard breakfast menu items are just as eclectic as the decor, ranging from cheesy bacon-and-potato egg paninis and berry-studded oatmeal to chilled cucumber soup and a salad of greens buried in pecans, cranberries and gorgonzola. Everything is imaginative and delicious. You can dine inside with the artwork or outside under the awning. In summer, mid-morning can be hectic. Secret: During lunar eclipses and other limited dates, such as Wednesday to Saturday from July to Labor Day, you can come here between 5 and 8 for unrushed dinner and be knocked to the floor by such deliciousness as bison sausage on sauced noodles or blackened Mahi Mahi fish tacos (definitely the best in...
