The Lanes Fort Meade — Local services in Odenton

Love the quality of the lanes. Sometimes seem over waxed, but generally pretty on point. The dinosaur ramps for kids are way better, colorful, and more fun than the simple, flimsy metal pole based styles. The bumpers come up automatically for their turn and go back down automatically, which is so great. Food has not quite come back since the pandemic started, but drinks and beers have at least. The theme options are fun for the scoreboards and tables are in great shape. Shoes are in good shape and in all sizes too. There are bathrooms, lockers, and a water fountain. The arcade games are limited to about eight with two available of the same racing game. Multiple seem to be out of order often, but still, options are available at least and we are here to bowl after all. There is a private room that can be reserved as well with its own bar and basic pool table. It does not have its own lanes within it though, to be clear. Really love the place if you can get access and both very affordable and deals available...

We came on a week day. There was only 1 other party bowling. The manager was super nice when we came in. He helped set us up and talked with me about their website info. When looking up their website, the website has no pricing information so you have to call to get any info. Calling is hard since they don’t answer very often. I asked him if they could update their pricing on Facebook or elsewhere so people could find this basic information without taking from how busy they are doing tons of other stuff. He said the base didn’t allow them to use Facebook anymore and that the pricing changes often so it’s hard to update website.

The kids bowled for an hour and this is the first bowling alley we have been to that didn’t have tons of issues with the lanes. We were able to bowl the whole time without resets...

I often came here on Thursday nights for Trivia night and would be pounding the $1 beers (trivia night special) in hopes that it would jog my memory for some hard-to-remember answers to questions. The bar staff is adequate but due to only being one server, it often takes a lot longer to get your food. But in general, the time it takes to get food, even going to the food counter takes an unforgivably long time but since I never got food here, my rating is based off MY personal experience. I did bowling after the Trivia nights to help "sober up" after the beer-pounding during Trivia night. It's a fun time and the $1 games on Thursdays is an added plus to going out here.
