This was my first time coming into the store. As soon as I walked in I noticed the smell. It is off putting but not bad enough to leave the store. It was also very hot I hope the workers stay cool because I was sweating.
The selection of items was very impressive. From toys, to comics, to games, and much more I was happy to see alot of stuff to look at. If you are looking for a specific toy line they probably have it. I was able to grab a few figures for my collection. They have a large amount of comics and games. The prices were good on the lower end items under $50 but the items that caught my eye that were over $50 were higher than the current market value. Nothing that was particularly outrageous but enough for me to not be interested in those items.
There were certain parts of the store that were a little messy. It kind of feels like a warehouse/thrifty store. To me it's not a big deal a little mess never hurt anyone, and they have a lot of stuff to sort through.
I went into the back room and found a tired pup laying on the floor. I wanted to pet him but he was knocked so I left him in peace. There was another dog on the otherside of the store as well that was sleeping. The guy that helped me check out was nice and knowledgeable about the figures. I will definitely stop back by when I am in...
Read moreThis place is as advertised, "Amazing"! I've been in over a handful of times and I always leave with a great experience. Being a business owner it's easy to tell when you have walked into a good business. It hits all 3 of the things you need to have a successful business, good prices, cool concept, and awesome customer service. If you are a big nerd like me, you will appreciate that it has everything including, comics, video games, game boards, action figures, sports cards, other collectible cards, statues, Mangas, and alot of other stuff. It's a huge place with all the goodies. I mainly buy comics but I have bought Mangas for my wife as well, and sooner or later some marvel statues. Definitely has the largest amount of back issue or older comics to choose from. I usually look for wall books or graded books which this place also has the largest selection of those as well, as least within 50 miles of me that I know of. The owner Jason is really nice and knowledgeable. He's there working hard everyday, and always greets you when you walk in. I also love the fact that he has 2 really nice dogs greeting me as well, since I'm a huge dog lover. I absolutely recommend Amazing...
Read moreOK, this store is... something. It does have a wide selection of collectibles, action figures and comic book back issues, however there are a few things that REALLY turned me off of the store.
First off, almost all of their back issue comics are at least 25-50% above FMV. I browsed their wall of key issues and a lot of them seemed overpriced. I browed through their boxes of issues too and was surprised at how pricey some were for the condition they were in. I've been collecting comics for over 20 years and some of the prices were definitely off. Second, the store is a bit of a mess. Some things are just strewn about the store and some items are covered in thick layers of dust. Third, OH MY GOD THE SMELL. I have no idea what the heck the smell was, but the place REEKED of some kind of incense or spray or something. Sometimes old comics can have a smell, this was not that, this was something entirely strange and overwhelmingly strong. The smell was so strong I got a headache. Seriously, the smell was awful.
The owner/operator seems nice, but the place is not for me. For the smell alone I don't think I will...
