King Wok — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

King Wok on 23rd Street is a fantastic spot for affordable and delicious Chinese food! It’s similar to Panda Express but way more affordable, with better quality and generous portions. One of my favorite things is that every meal I’ve ordered here has come with an egg roll, and it’s always great—and I’m usually pretty picky about egg rolls!

I’ve visited twice now, once for takeout and once dining in, and both experiences were excellent. The white rice is always perfectly cooked, the shrimp with heads are flavorful, and they have plenty of chicken options to choose from. The prices are very reasonable—I usually spend $9 to $12, and the portions are very generous.

The staff here are also incredibly kind, which makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is simple, but it doesn’t need to be fancy because the food speaks for itself. I highly recommend King Wok and will definitely keep coming...

Friendly staff, and AMAZING Chicken & mushroom entree!!! Everything we ordered was delicious but the Chicken and Mushrooms was next level!!! I was happy just to find a place that wasn’t serving the usual run of the mill iconic Americanized Chinese food Buffet dishes. Everyone knows The ones that serve identical frozen dishes regardless of the restaurant name… The staff was friendly, polite and surprisingly generous with the condiments! Lol. Which for whatever reason has become astonishingly rare in this day and age… All in all A+, for sure!! (Except for the “CHICKEN an MUSHROOMS” that’s an obvious A+++)!!! I have been to this location about 4 times. Not a huge variety but the items that I order are always available and ready to go when I arrive. You get a lot of food for a decent price. I can usually eat a 2-Combo as two meals. The staff always makes sure I get more meat than vegetables. It is a great competition to Panda Express. There is an up-charge for some items like the BBQ Chicken but it is worth it!

They have an outside dining option which I thought was unique especially with how small the facility is.

It feels family owned and operated.

Definitely worth the heartburn if you have stomach...
