The owner , I assume his name is Gene, is the most abrasive individual I have met. He has not only once but a few times been rude to us. I blew it off the first couple because Im not some over sensitive pansy looking for a reason to have my panties in a wad.

But let me tell you about this jackelope! He decides that i was trying on the wrong jacket size. Im large chested sometimes "the ladies" block my view. So i had a hard time seeing the zipper. I grab the zipper and am fixing to interlock it and he walks up YELLING to me to get a bigger size because I am going to rip it. I tell him I tried the larger size and it was TOO big. And I informed him he was being very loud and I stepped back. He stepped foward into my space yet still exclaiming that I was going to rip the jacket I was no longer wearing. I turned to my husband (who is kinda dumbfounded by this jerk) and said hes sitting here telling me Im fat basically. But its fine I dont want the jacket.

We finished our shopping because there were things we needed. The clerk who helped us was amazingly nice. That inconvienced by his customers -pompous - jackelope continued to follow and stare. Upon checking out , he informs the cashier to write " no returns or exchanges" on our receipt. After veing loud with us again saying " you did try these on to know they fit didnt you?!" We told him we had. I tell my husband I intend on reporting him. Gene laughs " to who?! If you cant be nice then leave the store" he continued to yell about how i said he called me fat. I said "sir I have maintained my level of voice". The store has a policy that you can exchange or return but not if he doesnt like you! My husband tried to calm him down. He yelled at me til a group gathered and i was in tears. Freaking terrific!

This man is a judgemental jerk. He was rude. His attempt at discrimination was pretty successful. And the fact he felt the need to yell and belittle me is pretty absurd. Ive seen him do this to other customers. He obviously has some major issues. And i dont want to hear that "he is from Jersey " b.s. being from the N.E does not give you a free pass...

I never have wrote a review but I had a awful experience today I am very upset .So my husband wanted me to run by and grab him a pair of size 15 rubber boots but he was mistaken on the size.My husband had done business here for many years and had spent a lot of money. I ask Gene the store owner if I could order some 15 rubber boots and he said he would not ordered them which is fine but said he had size 14 rubber boots in the back and they ran big so I called my husband to let him know and was on the phone explaining to him that he couldn't order the boots then Gene spoke out loud and got real vile and rude and said well you got to understand I cant order one boot it has to be a order over $100 dollars which of course I didn't say anything rude back I just said yes and left out of the store then my husband called and told me he was mistaken his shoe was a 14.I went back inside then Gene told me he had them in back but they were not scanned in so he would not sell them to me while standing there out loud he started talking to another guy in his store saying how rude some people are and going on and on before he even spoke to me . Gene wouldn't help me another helper of his went back to show me what he did have out on the floor then acted like I was crazy and said they never carried any black rubber boots in 14 which made no since to what Gene said. Really I am not a rude person and could not understand why he went crazy and decided to flip out on me I was simply just trying to do something nice for my husband because his he bought before from sam broke at work today cause they had eventually wore out like all rubber boots eventually do. I personally think this man may have some kind of mental issues honestly I am very concerned for the next person he flips out on.Sadly to say me or my husband will not be giving him anymore business. I meant, the owner has a way about him but he wasn't completely terrible like some of the other reviews state. Pack your reading glasses because there are so many notes around this place it's completely ridiculous. I can see why others have said that they felt like they were robbing the place and treated as such when they went in. There are way too many signs to feel welcomed. However if you can get past the signs and semi grumpy store owner, all of the female employees were very knowledgeable, nice, kind, and helpful. I've never gone snow skiing before so I took my friend in there who goes all the time and they were helping me pick out items quicker than he was. They were helping us think of things that we hadn't thought to purchase, however not in a pushy way; more of a "did you think of this." I don't have any trouble getting past a grumpy store owner if his prices are as reasonable as they are. Really, they are beyond reasonable. I would have paid more than double for what I got ANYWHERE else. I got good quality and functional ski wear from bibs, to thermals, to ski socks, to cool goggles, to waterproof phone-friendly gloves, to the awesome snow jacket. I paid for my entire order what others pay for JUST the jacket. It's pretty incredible. So if you are headed our skiing, this is THE place to go. Just be...
