Dollar General — Local services in Old Lycoming Township

I hate to give the store a one star review because I know that the entire staff isn't as awful as this one particular employee but the behavior was egregious and uncalled for and I won't forgive it in considering the rating for this location.

I finished my shopping there this evening and went outside to load my car. No problems up til this point when some young female store clerk on her break was talking to her boyfriend on the phone and went out of her way to bark or moo or something at me while nodding and grinning like a nut. There was no one else around, and it seemed like she was trying to upset me while entertaining her boyfriend on the phone. It was so bizarre and it says a lot about the hiring practices. Obviously another winner in the world of retail. Probably soon to be held at a county jail near you. Boyfriend too. Losers.

Besides that trash behavior (now that I think about it I remember some other trash behavior from clerks in the past at this store and I am feeling very justified about the one star rating) the store is small, cluttered and a bit messy. It's okay if you need something small or want to save money on a particular item but it is a particularly unpleasant location and I know I am avoiding this dumpster fire of a Dollar General...

There was .50 off coypons, on the shelf, next to and item and I got 3 of them. I only got 3 because of the coupon. At the checkout, the guy told me they are outdated and I can't allow you to use them. I explained it was false advertising and that there store offered the coupon and he should honor these coupons. He REFUSED and was RUDE about it. That's TERRIBLE and they lost a VERY GOOD CUSTOMER. I always spend $50.00 or more, at least weekly or twice a week. Just moved to the area. Been visiting here for years though. Store usually seems to have what I need, and of course convenient hours as well. Friendly staff always seems to be in a good mood. Love the pigs at the checkout! Very unique and always gives me a good chuckle. Very excited to see their new store...
