Kohl's — Local services in Old Saybrook

This location doesn’t have a very big selection of things. Barely any sizes. Seems like everything is sold out in the sizes we are looking for. Good promotional offers would probably explain why there out of so much inventory.

Had an Amazon return they closed all there fitting rooms in the store which I thought was odd. I’ve seen merchants set aside clothes tried on and after a 14 day period put them back on the shelf. That’s a little better for the customer. Otherwise your buying without trying. Defeats the purpose of in store shipping. Anyway returns are in the middle of the store in a fitting room. You’ll see two employees standing at a kiosk they take your purchase scan the QR code and give you a receipt on the receipt is a coupon for 25% off nice bonus for having to drive there to return something. I was told they process returns quickly to give it a couple of days and I’d see a credit. I asked when pick ups for returns where she said she wasn’t sure .. she said every...

Very unwelcoming woman at the service desk. I asked if she could apply a 30% coupon off of my receipt of items from a few days earlier. Indicated she would have to re-ring all the items plus made note that they were purchased at another Kohls 🤷‍♀️ it was a slow day on a Thursday so I was taken aback with the poor attitude & seemingly lack of desire to meet my request. I indicated that I would go to the original store (Rocky Hill) which I did today & my request was met with ease (and a smile). The service desk magically took off the discount without having to re-ring the items & accounted for the fact that I had used the cash back coupon. I was still left with a credit & the bonus was very pleasant customer service. Seems like some training opportunities on the basics of customer service would be beneficial as well as a better understanding of the capabilities & usage of your computer...

I had a "wardrobe malfunction" and ripped my shirt wide open at the start of the work day, so I dropped my gear down to first and spun over to Kohl's Old Saybrook. I was initially dismayed that their hours start at 10am, and while I was waiting at the 5-minute mark another early bird audibly sighed in annoyance and stormed away and left.

Getting through the doors, though--rules are rules! no expectation that the work day will start earlier just for my own impatience--everyone was happy to provide service and were welcoming. I found what I wanted, and since it was a shirt right off the rack an associate brought a steamer that they use for their mannequin clothes out so that I wouldn't stock creases in my shirt all day.

Everyone was awesome, accommodating and I made it through work successfully, with more than a few people commenting how they liked...
