I go there because they stock Salem Valley Farms Ice cream in quarts all year long. It’s not a huge selection, but they have some flavors.

Walt’s and Cliffs Quality Meats in Essex are THE only two places in CT you can get pre-scooped quarts of Salem Valley Farms Ice cream. OR get SVF ice cream in the winter when they are closed for t he season. Cliffs will add a flavor onto an order if you ask them to, they have a much larger selection but like Walt’s only order...

Visiting a friend who took me to this non corporate quality foods store, and what a pleasant surprise this was! I got to try their pastries, sandwiches and meats for dinner and everything was just perfect. Staff did an amazing job preparing things to my liking, was very polite and professional and did a heck of a job with everything. Great shop with great foods and a top notch staff team makes this a perfect food store if you wanna get real good eats at a great price! Three cheers to the peeps...

Zero stars. Without fail for about 9 months this "deli" has made me the wrong order. Decide to go back today after weeks of hiatus to get a "chicken cutlet tuesday special". Get back to my office with a turkey hardroll . . I don't get it. There's always new faces in there and for some reason or another orders can't be made correctly. Needless to say, this is the nail in the coffin for me. Absolutely floored by how little attention the deli workers pay to making orders....
