I had never been to Babe Lash Studio before, so I booked a hybrid full set and eyebrow tint online.
When I came in for my appointment, I was a couple of minutes late, but Mariah was still working on another client so no big deal.
After I was able to sit down and discuss what I wanted with Mariah, she told me I needed a volume set. I also explained my concern regarding missing hair on one of my eyebrows, so she up-sold me to henna. She told me the henna would also color my skin, so this would fix my concern.
After I agreed to her suggestions, her assistant āchangedā my appointments but nobody ever told me the new prices. When I went to pay, my total went from what was originally supposed to be $165, to $295š I was happy with my eyelashes, so I paid $350 with a tip, and left. After leaving, I called in to ask what was so expensive. Apparently they upgraded me from a tint to wax & henna, so a $15 service to $95. Mariah never waxed.. or even tweezed my eyebrows. When I was still scheduled for the $15 tint she tried to ask if I also wanted them ācleaned up,ā but I had said no (I knew there would be an additional cost). After I upgraded the service, she took it upon herself not to āclean upā my eyebrows and still felt comfortable charging me $95 for hennaš³
Long story short, my eyelashes were gone in 2 days! I came back in and Mariah did a ācomplimentaryā fill and said she added āBondageā this time. 2 days later, my eyelashes on the right eye were all gone again. The henna she claimed would last for 8 weeks.. lasted for less than 2 and it DID NOT fix the missing hair issue.
Not to mention, youāre in a tiny room with services being completed on another guest, while Mariahās assistant just interrupts her the whole time.. planning personal vacations for them.
Mariah was super pleasant and my second visit was far better than my first (her assistant wasnāt there and we were actually able to have a conversation), but I would NEVER recommend this place and will never get services here again.
EDITED TO ADD: the owner is a very dishonest person. Check out the difference in pictures from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very pleased with my lashes at first. They looked wonderful! At least for the first two days. I followed Mariahs instructions of not wetting them for the first 48 hours, I did not touch and did not sleep on them. The first time I got them wet, half of them fell out. They were so, so patchy. After this point, they got so itchy and almost painful to have on. My lashes were literally digging into my eyes. The isolation was also horrible. I have a lot of lashes, and Iāve had my lashes done many times. Never have they been this way. My first red flag was that she did not clean my lashes at all before application. I thought that was odd, but I didnāt want to be a āKarenā client. My second red flag was that a full hybrid set took her only 35 minutes. Now, this was my first time with a hybrid set, as normally I do a classic/volume set using a mix of singles and clumps. But with the amount of lashes I have, it normally takes an hour for just a fill and almost 2.5hrs for a full set. The pictures I have attached are the day I got them (9/1) and today (9/7). My lashes NEVER look like this after less than a week after getting them done. Iām shocked and very disappointed because I know I took care of them the right way. If you need lashes for a weekend, this may be the set for you. Unfortunately it was not a very good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a little skeptic about a place that had so much availability as most places are booked out for weeks. However I needed a fill. Never will I need a fill bad enough to go back. When I first went to Miss Priss, they made sure I washed my hands and that I physically saw my lash tech wash and sanitize her hands. At Babe lash the girl came out and say me down and never washed or sanitized. She also had long acrylic nails, which we all know harbors so many bacteria and I should have just left. Regardless if I ended up with an infection or not, itās bad hygiene to have long acrylics and not wash your hands when getting all up in someoneās eyes. Also the fact that she was touching her phone and sharing pictures with another tech who spoke to her the first 30 minutes of getting my lashes done and taking her attention away to show her things on her phone while they spoke about her upcoming cosmetic procedure. When I first got my lashes done at a Miss Priss she took her time and was very gentle and professional. At babe lash she got multiple bottom lashes glued to my top lashes and it felt like she was poking my eye with something sharp trying to take them apart. Not going...
