Northwest Beerwerks — Restaurant in Olympia

Likely the best place to grab a craft beer in the area despite a somewhat cold service. They have an outstanding selection of beers and are one of the few places in the area you can find barley wines or a good offering of sours or other non-ipa options. Their garden and outside areas are great and have roofs and heaters for colder or wetter days. They also offer lots of games and have food trucks and vendor available. their staff is always a bit aloof to me though. With a few exceptions, they rarely feel very welcoming or friendly in my experience. I have had a few offputting/condescending encounters with their staff though. The bit of hipster snootyness aside though this is still among my fav places to drink due to the patio and drink offerings. For the past month we had been communicating with Crystal to hire the beer truck for our wedding on 8/24. We got as far as choosing our beers and setting up all the details. Last week we were unable to reach her to pay the deposit. After numerous calls and messages left to Matt (the GM) and the bar, today Crystal called and informed us that they booked the truck for another event. Our wedding is in 2 weeks. She didn’t offer an apology, instead stated she didn't receive any of our messages, and that contacting us in this situation wasn’t her responsibility. She offered us kegs at cost, but we won’t be doing business with Beerwerks again.

2019 - This place usually has about 25 beers on tap and some ciders too. Wine is available, if you must. Three sizes for each beer so you can make your own flight. They have the undisputed BEST beer garden in the South Sound. Inside is roomy and comfortable. The facility is fully handicapped accessible if parking in the upper lot. No food on the menu, but a food truck and diner are next door. There's well over a hundred beers available in the coolers for take out or drink in.
