I will start by saying I am not the average homeowner in that I like to do everything myself. I was required to use Atronic Alarms for a new home build if I wanted an alarm system. With the consultation, I mentioned exactly what I wanted which was an alarm system that I could manage myself with no 3rd party interaction (such as Atronic Alarms). I was told this would be no problem. Once the house was finished and the alarm system was installed, it was a 3rd party managed alarm system that I would have to pay a subscription for to use (not what I asked for). I was told this is just how alarm systems work. For the record, I have since fixed this and have an alarm system that I can self manage with no subscription. The camera system that was installed was the same way. After the camera system was installed, I asked for the admin password and was told that they do not give out the admin password. They did fix this and gave me my admin password (part of the reason for not giving only one star). We also had a sound system installed by Atronic Alarms with a Sonos Amp. The Sonos Amp never worked properly, and we tried to deal with it through Sonos. They mentioned since we didn't purchase the amp directly through them, Atronic Alarms would have to be the ones to return it. When I contacted Atronic Alarms, they told me I was out of the warranty period, so they wouldn't return it for me. Overall, I wouldn't have used the company if I wasn't required to by the home builder.
Pros- the install was professional and worked for what it was. I got what I paid for, even if it wasn't what I asked for.
Cons- they seem to only follow a standard set of hardware, and aren't very flexible for people who like to be outside...
Read moreI was not particularly impressed with how this company does business. The salesman that came to my house and gave me a card was not reachable by his phone number when there were questions. After the contract was signed no one contacted us, we had to contact them to get scheduled because the only thing I did receive was an email so they could get paid. It was scheduled 6 weeks after the contract was signed and the work was not yet done and I got another email that my bill was overdue; again no direct contact. I was told we would get a system that would do the same as prior system that was hit by lightening however that was not the case as they don’t have any systems that did what ours did before which was not explained to us until it was installed. They had to come back one additional time for a wireless smoke due to wire being fried but again they scheduled it and never talked to us. We only found out when we called to schedule it. When I found out about the additional cost I told the tech that was at my house to make sure I got an additional receipt and written cause for the insurance company and he told me I would I have to talk to my salesman who never answered the phone. This company doesn’t communicate between themselves and doesn’t communicate with their customers. Cannot recommend.
Update 10-3-25 Per the response from Atronic we called but was not IMMEDIATELY connected to the right person. Had to leave a number and wasn't called back by the end of the day. Keep up the good work Atronic! Way to keep your word. Good thing I wasn't going in with high...
Read moreI'd give zero stars if it was an option. We've had this system for two years now and it still hasn't worked correctly yet. Different pieces of the system keep going out and they want at least $80 to send a tech out. We were billed twice by complete surprise to fix their system that still doesn't work and then told our warranty was up and "someone should have told you that". We've had various different alarm companies in the past, but this one is far by the worse and most expensive one.
I'll update and change this rating if they can actually get this system to work like it is supposed to without anymore...
