Terrible - we went as a party of 5 to dinner this evening. The restaurant was not busy, granted there were a few tables but nothing crazy. Our server was all over, he seemed very flustered. In 5 minutes we had 3 separate people come to the table. One gal said she would bring more menus, she never came back. The manager, who came over and took our drinks, then the server to take our drinks again. Our server brought us the samples we asked for and came back to take our beer order. We all ordered beers and when he brought them back, the orders weren’t right, but we drank them anyway as we didn’t want to make him feel bad. He came back to take our appetizer and dinner orders. He said “I’ll take your appetizers and dinner”. Strange, normally you order those separate. So we ordered 2 appetizers and 5 meals. I also ordered a side of lemons to go with my water. He read the orders back to us and they were correct. Our meals came out about 15 minutes later... but no appetizers. He said “oh I must not have heard you, I’ll put the order in now” and still ended up only putting in 1 appetizer. While all this is happening, we have no silverware or napkins. Those that got sandwiches are eating while I sat for 10 minutes with no silverware until we had to ask again. After waiting about 40 minutes, he brought my lemons over. While he keeps forgetting things, we see him walk to the bar and talking to some gal instead of grabbing us whatever it was that we had asked for. Our food wasn’t very hot, tasted like it had been sitting under a warmer. He never came back to check on us, he just came and asked if we were ready for the checks after we finished eating.. this was the biggest disappointment as our total was $50! For two people... really upset...
Read moreMy wife and I have eaten at your location once and the food and service were both fantastic. I have also had your food delivered from Door Dash and it was just as great when delivered. Tonight we decided to order food to be delivered again from Local by Door Dash and it was sub par. The grilled cheese I ordered was cold, soggy and mostly bread. My wife's, "Sloppy Joe," sandwich was lacking the meat expected to make it worthy of calling a meal. BTW....the tater tots were PERFECT!! I called this location to talk to a manager only to let he/she know about our experience. The gentleman who answered the phone was friendly and directed my call to Mike. After telling Mike about our sub par experience and that I was only calling to make him aware and that in no way I wanted to be reimbursed or food remade, he insisted that he was there to make things right! WOW! Customer service still exists! Mike not only had our food remade, he delivered it to our home personally. Again, Wow! What I didn't tell Mike is that I was also in the food industry for over 20 years. To the powers that be, I obviously understand the amount of complaints you undergo on a daily basis. Dealing with the public is difficult. That being said; I am happy to spend my time writing this email about what a GREAT experience that I had with your restaurant this evening and how Mike will now be the reason for my wife, myself and all my friends and family to be faithful patrons of your establishment....
Read moreWe got there at 6:15pm. We were excited to try the German pretzels on the happy hour menu. I had heard good things. By the time we could finally order, they told us we could not get any appetizers off of the happy hour menu because we were late in ordering. It ended at 6:30pm, it was 6:31pm, I thought, seriously? So, we didn't order any appetizers at all at that point. I went ahead and placed my dinner order, the crispy chicken sandwich and my father ordered the "Local" burger. For a place that is literally named "Local" they serve frozen formed patties for their burgers and frozen chicken for their chicken sandwiches... A place called local SHOULD source their beef from local farmers, not order pre-made patties from US Foods or another bulk supplier. Same goes for chicken. Yeah Local, foodies can tell a difference, and it is apparent. The food was underwhelming and essentially just regular bar food with toasted brioche buns and hipster condiments like aioli sauce. The service wasn't bad, with the exception of the 60-second rule on happy hour appetizers. Overall: Blah. I would recommend trying a local burger joint that serves real locally sourced food ingredients. I'd check out the restaurant with the Nebraska sourced wagyu beef burger down the street over this place...
