I am a Lyft driver and I went to the Starbucks today to pick up a rider. My rider entered my car, and as he does a security guard named Caesar walks up to my car and tells me that I can't pick up riders there! I couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I said "What?"
He goes on to tell me that I can't pick up riders there because they have had problems with students fighting in the Starbucks. That makes ZERO sense, since if I'm taking my rider home then he obviously can't be FIGHTING IN STARBUCKS!!
I told the guard that I'm taking my rider home, and that he can't stop me and drove away. On the ride home the rider informed me that this guard was named Caesar and that he was notorious for harassing high school students. He said that incidents like this happened multiple times in the past.
I told my rider that he should use his phone to record these incidents should they happen again. I also told him to carry pepper spray and if this guard harasses him to spray him, plain and simple.
I don't know who this guy thinks he is, but he has NO business harassing high school kids. And he definitely has no business telling me, a 44 year old man, that I can't pick up someone there, for any reason. He is a tall older black man and my rider said his name is Caesar.
He needs to be reprimanded and/or FIRED, plain and simple. I go to Countryside Village pretty often, and if guy harasses me ever again I cannot be held responsible for what will...
Read moreI really enjoyed this place. There are many different shops here, from restaurants to retail. We enjoyed eating at a authentic Jewish deli called Schwartz's Deli, and it was amazing. A bit oon the pricey side, but the portions were large and food was fresh and authentic. We were told they receive three shipments a week from Manhattan, to get authentic items. We loved it and will...
