This was my first time going into Rooted Table Cafe. I told the lady helping me at register - Jen, that I was going to do a Google review and asked her to take some photos of the food I was ordering. I'm a power wheelchair user who has paralysis from the neck down and it's a little difficult for me to take pictures. Jen was more than willing to accommodate. It has been several weeks ago now that I was at this Cafe because I was waiting for it to be on Google to finish this review. The food I ordered was healthy vegan whole foods! It consisted of a lentil sloppy joe on some greens (spinach etc, not cheap zero nutrition iceberg lettuce). There was some pickled cucumbers that were my favorite! There was a side of cabbage slaw and a portion of perfectly cooked quinoa. I also ordered one of their healthy dessert bars that was satisfyingly full of unsweetened coconut! Personally, my priority for eating is for health & high nutrition while avoiding artificial flavors (which is basically edible perfume), added oils, and excessive sodium. Basically, I have retrained my taste palette to actually enjoy the type of whole foods offered in this Cafe! So if you want to eat green clean healthy foods with zero guilt, Rooted Table Cafe is where it is at! PS I also enjoyed a good conversation with one of the owners...

The service was top notch. The owner was so kind, went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcomed. They delivered to our table and also came by to clean up. They even topped us off (which isn’t always a guarantee but hugely appreciated and noted).
We were thrilled to hear some of the behind the scenes and to learn how clean the food and drinks are, no hidden ingredients! So THANK YOU Rooted Table for providing foods and drinks the American people desperately need!
As far as flavor, we know these are super clean dishes/drinks so that’s most important to us, but we feel like it needed just a little tiny something extra, like a bit sweeter caramel or maple in the lattes or maybe a squeeze of lime on the toast and maybe cinnamon on the AB&J! Just a little tiny something extra to really make flavor kick in!
Overall, splendid experience. Pricey, but I’d rather pay more for foods that are healthy than to pay last for poison and trash foods!
*ps. Cozy outdoor...
Read moreThis was a neat place to check out, especially as a long-term vegan with not very many options around Omaha. However, I will say I was so excited when I found this place, but I walked in to not be greeted by absolutely anybody, there were two women at the register one of them looked like she was training the other one and they were talking amongst each other and then they just walked away. And sort of ushered the other girl behind the counter to come help me, she seemed like she was in a way forced to come up to take my order. I felt very uncomfortable from the start. I was not met with any smiles. And the entire experience was just very uncomfortable. I’m not the one to try to turn everything into a race thing. But when a brown person walks into an establishment full of white people and you are given disgusting cold looks it makes you feel very uncomfortable. I will be taking my business to a black owned or Hispanic owned business from...
