I have been buying from this store for 14+ years and I can say that I will never go back. The first transaction I had with them they charged me for insurance that would supposedly cover me if I got laid off. I ended up actually getting laid off and they then informed me that it doesn't kick in until I had been on unemployment for six months. This was not told to me when I originally signed the contract. I then bought a bed from the one in Culpeper, VA and was told it had a money back guarantee. I only had to buy the $100 mattress cover from them in order to honor it. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and when I went to take it back they told me there was no such thing even though that is EXACTLY what their sales representative told me. This last time I went into the store I bought a television, mount, and stand. I signed the contract that said I was getting a 50" television. When I got home I realized while trying to set everything up that the mount was the wrong size. I called to let them know I had the wrong mount and to my surprise they told me the television was supposed to be a 42" for the same price, even though the contract said 50". They wanted me to come back to the store and exchange the television without even signing a new contract. I refused since the serial numbers, etc. matched on my contract. The manager then tried to tell me they weren't liable for keying errors and I had to bring it back it. Per my lawyer this, is completely untrue as everything matches up correctly on the contract that THEY wrote up themselves and had me sign. Then the manager, John, spent 15 minutes telling me what a horrible person I was and how I was taking advantage of them and that now he would have to dock that poor woman's pay. This type of behavior is not only unacceptable but completely unprofessional. This is also as you can see from the review, not the first time they have done something underhanded. They will offer pretty much anyone financing but they raise the price up to WAY above what you can buy the same items at Wal-Mart and quite a few of the items they don't even assemble. You have to assemble them yourself. They also then charge many people over 20% interest to finance it, along with a finance fee. The quality is about the same as Wal-Mart furniture as well. In the end there are plenty of other furniture stores willing to take your money that will probably treat you much more honestly. My experience at this store has left a bad taste in my mouth. To be fair, my experience with a sales Clerk whose name begins with a W has always been very helpful and real nice. I cannot say the same about the women at the "Office" or the ones who do the paper work.

For starters I paid for a sofa that was available at the time of purchase and it never got delivered I decided to opt for something else. My delivery fee on that item was never credited. I was charged another delivery fee on the new item

The next bad experience was when I went into the store to make a payment. There were three women sitting around chatting. The one I needed to speak to had her back turne so naturally she could not see me. The other two were looking at me directly and kept on talking for five minutes while I waited patiently. Eventually the one I needed to speak to suddenly turned around and saw me. I just wondered how long they would have wached me standing there.

I decided to just pay off the balance and be done with. I gave them a check that exceeded the balnce. They are supposed to write me a refund check which has not happened yet since December. Instead all I have had was the run around. Call us back, we will call you back etc. As for a week ago total silence. I think I have been jerked around long enough.
