Orange Village Shopping Center — Local services in Orange

One of the only "one-stop-shops" in town of Orange. I wish more stores would move in here, but it's a good spot to come where you can park in the middle and walk the whole area. This Center includes Taco Bell, Burger King, Partners First & Wells Fargo banks, Orange Diner, Kidas Grill, Goodwill, Roses, Cato, Food Lion, Verizon, Great Wall Chinese, ABC Store, Dollar General, Dunkin Donuts, and a few others I can't think the name of. Shoe Show recently went out which was disappointing as it was the closest and an affordable, decent shoe store. But everyone had a totally different experience there, which I believe led to its demise. If you need a little bit of everything and you're near here, might as well stop here! The parking lot in front of food lion can be a bit confusing with the curve, but if you're consciously thinking everyone figures it out. I've been coming here for my main shopping in Orange since moving here...

My husband and I had a GREAT experience with 2 of the staff therefore I chose to call back to inquire about another product that I am in major need of for work. The staff member that answered the phone, Laura, seemed less than willing to assist; hesitant to answer questions but quick to tell me that the two employees we worked with previously are on leave of absences which was devastating because they are truly assets to this location! I'm not sure they have the best employee at this location in the middle of a global crisis when people need to have someone willing to work for them and with them....consumer affairs 101, make your consumer feel valued, this was not the case with my interactions.

This particular Roses department store is a complete mess. The manager seems to have an issue with people of color. Always needs to be in need of a complete over haul inside the store. Reminds me of a thrift store. Isle are not wide enough. Don't know how they get passing grades on inspections. Too many items for such a small store. No public restrooms but any you to spend your money here. Really? This has to be the worst Roses I've ever been in. Employees check your attitudes at the door before your shift begins. Thank you to all Ashland store employees, I'll never leave my store for these backwards folks. Inventory and store size do not match at all. Store could do a lot better with new employees and removing some of the inventory...
