Visiting Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was a magical experience that delighted my inner child!
The moment I stepped into the shop, I was surrounded by colorful displays of candies and treats straight out of the books and movies. It felt like stepping into Honeydukes, but with its own unique charm.
Of course, Gerald and I couldn’t resist picking up a box of the famous Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans! The fun (and slight risk) of not knowing what flavor you’ll get whether it’s something delicious or interesting. The vibrant packaging and whimsical designs made it almost too pretty to open!
The shop itself is packed with an enchanting selection of sweets, from Chocolate Frogs to Fizzing Whizzbees.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, happy to share their favorite recommendations. Every detail in the shop, from the candy jars to the decor, was so well thought out that it felt like a scene straight from Diagon Alley.
Whether you’re looking for a sugar rush or just want to explore a little slice of wizarding heaven, Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop is an...
Read moreThis shop wasn't as amazing as Honeydukes in Hogsmeade, but it is still very nice in my opinion. It has an old style look to it which I liked. There are a lot of candies from the books/movies and even more. There are themed candies - like Bertie Bott's every flavour bean, Shock-o-choc and others - but also more regular candies, like simply gummies and chocolate. It is mostly themed sweets though. The packagings are amazing. There are also a couple of desserts and pastries (like cake or butterbeer fudge) and drinks (like pumpkin juice) at the cash register. Chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott's every flavour beans are a must buy! My personal favourite turned out to be the Fizzing Whizzbees. The candies are obviously super expensive, but you will not regret the experience of trying them all! The only thing I wish is that it weren't connected to other shops, because you can actually access Weasley's Wizard Wheezes from the inside, which also links to Quality Quidditch Supplies. I would have prefered it to be its own separate shop, it would have...
Read moreSugarplum's was a lot less crowded than Honeyduke's and had a better selection of foods. The Butterbeer fudge was very underwhelming and was nothing special. The Cauldron Cake was very good as well. There is also a cashier here who wasn't rude but insisted on cancelling my transaction when neither of my 2 cards went through,. Clearly it was an error in their machine as I checked with my bank and my card was full but he was adamant that it was a problem with my cards, not their machine. Even the other register had a problem reading someone else's card but he didn't care. He told me to leave and to leave the food behind, embarrassing me in front of everyone in the store. I came back 2 hours later with a different cashier and it went through. I didn't understand what his problem was but I was just thankful it went through at the...
