After researching some of the best food in Universal Studios, we were definitely interested in tasting the Simpson themed food. As you enter this location, Moe’s Tavern has one entrance but there is a side entrance which leads directly to the Simpson Fast Food Blvd.
For ordering food, there is a large food cafeteria space which is connected to the subdivided Moe’s Tavern location. This large are is called Simpsons Fast Food Blvd where you will have to first enter one large line. After you enter food cafeteria space, the different Simpson vendors have their own individual line for Krusty Burger or others. After seeing many Simpson’s episode, I was interested in getting a real flaming Moe. The Moe’s sign says that “Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away.” The Flaming Moe is $8.99. It has orange soda with dry ice inside a specially designed cup. The dry icy creates the effect of the drink for about 5 minutes so please be prepared for the show.
We ordered from Krusty Burger, Cluetus’s Chicken Shack, and Flaming Moes. From Krusty Burger, we order a Krusty Burger for $10.49. It is a 1/3 pound with a normal size tomato. It is a burger. It is a crappy but it did fill me up. At Cleutus Chicken Shack., we shared the Chicken & Waffle Sandwich for $11.19. This is served with maple syrup which compliments the chicken nicely. The waffles are nothing special but it was filling overall .After you ordered your food, there is one main check line. It is a theme park so you go from line to line to line.
I would suggest sitting in Moe’s Tavern over the other spaces with the Simpson’s Fast Food Blvd because Moe’s is very well done overall as stated earlier. We did snag a booth which was very comfortable.
There are alcoholic offerings which were definitely popular. We also say the large pink donut which we did not get after being filled up on burgers and chicken.
Overall, I was happy with my experience. If you would really like some more quality food, I would head over to the Leaky Cauldron in the Harry Potter world. The Simpsons food was kind of crappy but this is the only food place where I could say bad food is consistent...
Read moreKrusty Burger on the outside is actually a bunch of different places on the inside. Additionally, you have to all stand on one line to reach the separate food areas, which is long and confusing. The seating is also impossible and leads to fights between customers because you end up running toward the same table as someone else because there are not enough seats.
The food itself was not good. I waited FOREVER for a grilled chicken sandwich just to have the food be given to someone else who just walked up (as opposed to my husband who patiently stood there for 15 minutes). They did make it right, but it was still frustrating. After all of that, the sandwich was gross. My child's chicken and waffle sandwich was dry, like eating chicken and drywall. The Flaming Moe's, however, were good, if you like Sunkist (which I do).
This place has signs to pick up mobile orders, but on the app, I couldn't see a way to place one. So overall, this place just sucks.
I will say that the whole reason we were there was because my other daughter can't have gluten or dairy, so we wanted the gluten free krusty burger. They were meticulous about making sure her food was safe and prepared separately and advised the tater tots were gluten free. She said the burger was really good. So all of that hell was worth it for a safe meal.
One last note: it was both my kids' birthdays and they had the buttons for it. We were told by the staff member policing the line to make sure we got the free milkshakes for them. However, neither can have dairy, so we asked the cashier if the drinks they did get could be free instead, but we were told no. That was a little odd since I would think milkshakes are higher in value, so we asked for something cheaper. It left them feeling disappointed that they were told they could get something and then told no because they have...
Read moreWent here during halloween horror night with family. Not only does this location have krusty burger inside of it but it had a chick place as well and i believe 1 maybe 2 other places to eat. My boyfriend and I had walked in and got in-line for one of the food options. While standing in line a worker walks over to us and says you’re cutting the line you know people see you. He was pointing to a big like across from us which we assumed was for a different food place. There was no signs and no rope or anything to block off people like us just jumping in line. I explained how we didn’t know the line was for all the food joints and he was extremely rude. Saying we see you cutting in line over and over again. As I kept trying to explain we didn’t know we did and it wasn’t our intention to cut infront of people. He continued to be quite rude I just got out of line all together. Tried to find somewhere else to eat in that area but nothing looked that great. So we came back and waited in the long line. I happened to notice another couple do the exact same thing my boyfriend and I had done. But he was incredibly nice to them like he completely switched to another person. Found that very interesting consider that couple was white and my boyfriend and I are black. I wish I could remember his name but unfortunately I cant. We ended up getting out food from a chicken place and it was alright. Overall very disappointed in the way we were seemingly discriminated against and how rude we were spoken to. I was very polite to the man but couldnt say the same for him. Very disappointed in...
