TL;DR: The ride itself is wonderful when it doesn't run into issues, but the ride regularly runs into issues. The queue is very immersive and it'll give the illusion of you truly being in the M.I.B. headquarters. Do prepare to hear a lot of looping audio near the beginning however, as you may be in the first hallway for up to 20 minutes on busier days. The ride itself is a super thrilling and high speed game as you get to shoot at alien scum, but this is where my main issue comes from. I have been present during a total of 4 ride breakdowns. Once I had to wait an extra 20 minutes in the queue, twice the ride temporarily broke down and I lost all my points, and once I even had to be evacuated out of my vehicle. Needless to say, this ride breaks down A LOT, so mentally prepare for that before riding. Besides the issues, I'd still recommend riding this, especially if you enjoy playing video games or competing with others. As a bonus, here are a couple of personal tips:
• Hold the trigger throughout the ride. You get some extra points just from doing this. • Target the smaller, more difficult to spot aliens as these nab you some more points than the bigger, easier to spot ones. • Near the end, Zed will ask you to push the red button. When he's about halfway to almost done saying the word, "button," you should push the red button in front of you. This will earn you an extra...
Read moreAn absolute nightmare of an experience. Ride said 20 min wait, awesome. Forced to get a locker for our stuff, OK it was free for first hour and 25 min. Line was quick, ride was fun. Returned to locker for stuff 29 min later. Couldn't open without paying $6.00! Talked to attendant.....SHE WAS THE RUDEST PERSON WE HAVE EVER!!! MET. Kept repeating some mumbo jumbo about ride time effecting "free" locker time. There were 4 other families whom over heard me and had the same problem. She did open locker, but not until she bitched at me for 10 min. Asked for a supervisor, waited 10 min, no one showed up. Really Universal? After paying $300 + tax for your park and this is how you are going to scam families out of every last penny? Will be reporting the incident to BBB and the offices of Consumer Protection. We saved and saved....and saved our money to bring our daughter on this trip. We are not rich, but I guess you need to be to enjoy anything at Universal or Disney or anything in Orlando. This is NOT the place where families can make memories....rich families maybe, the rest of us hard working blue collar folks can just go broke. This place is the worst of the worst example of shameful...
Read moreI love this ride and the park. But I'm giving 2 stars because of my experience last night with an employee.
I went to Orlando Informer and got in line for MIB with my party. The employee let us into the first room and gave his speech and introduced himself. I could also see the his name tag and realized we shared the same name of Rose to which I got a little excited having only met a very few other Rose's. (That and I never met a man named Rose which i thought was cool.) So I got a little excited and my hand popped up right as he asked if anyone bad any questions and pointed to me. I just kinda laughed a bit and said "oh we just have the same name haha." To which the employee replied "okay. Cool. I don't know how that's supposed to make you feel special." Which kinda ruined my whole trip. I found it just extremely insulting. I don't care if you didn't find it cool like I did, but the least you could do is be polite and just say "neat". It felt unnecessary and very embarrassing. I just wanted to enjoy the ride. Not be...
