Horrible! I went in there as we drove by and the girl Ariel was very pleasant and sweet. I went in a Saturday she didn’t have any keys to show us the place I told her no worries we can come back during the week. When I came back I walked right into the corner office she has and she was very pleasant and showed us the place and even showed us the laundry area I fell in love with the place and took a leap of faith and went right in the office and applied for the apartment….i should have asked more questions at this point! So while I was in her office applying she tells me that the apartment I wanted someone just got approved and got! I found it weird because usually when someone is applying the apartment gets taken off the listing. Again with good faith I asked what’s the next one available it was more expensive than the one I initially applied for I went ahead and applied. At this point my gut instinct told me walk the area and I was like ohh hey this might be where the apartment is and the door was wide open. I thought the people moving in were moving in that apartment as I approached the apartment was a wreck it was beat down roach infested it was down right bad.it was so gross I didn’t even want to step foot in the place I called the office and asked hey can I see the apartment I applied for Ariel told me sure but it’s not ready. I told her that I walked through the complex and looked around and the apartment number she told me that I applied for was in horrible condition. This is when it gets better she assures me that isn’t the one I applied for….that apartment listing was taken of the site the minute I placed the application for it and the original one was still listed I expressed my concerns and she said someone will call me. Mr. Alex calls me with his passive aggressive attitude he proceeded to tell me that I pretty much trespassed I explain to him no I never stepped foot in the place I simply walked around I’m now concerned about the condition of what I saw and what to expect. Someone in the background tells him if I don’t like the apartment they would gladly refund my application fee. I told him no let’s move forward until the apartment is ready for viewing. Later that week I received an approval letter and welcome letter from the complex asking me I had till the end of the week to connect utilities to the new place. I called and asked for clarification Alex tells me the apartment won’t be ready for me to see until my move in day same day I have to have utilities turned on on the place!!!! This man is delusional how does that even work? I told him I was done speaking with him and don’t wish to proceed forward. Thinking it’ll be safe to call the complex again to request my monies they chose to ignore my calls how do I know I called from a different number and poor Ariel answers on the first ring!! I went to the office to ask to speak to the manager on site of course Alex was the first person I see. I explained the situation with no hostility no aggression and he turns and says he doesn’t feel safe with my 6’4 boyfriend and I in the office and asked me to leave!!! This place is horrible. This Alex guy has no manners and shouldn’t be working with the public. I lost money all because I asked to see where I’ll be bringing my children to live!! The way Alex treated me as if thou I was begging instead of being a paying future tenant no empathy no respect no compassion no professionalism and then he feels threatened after asking for what told I’ll get it’s beyond me. Just...
Read moreMy husband and I went in to apply for a 1/1 for 9/20 on Saturday, 9/1. Jeanette, the leasing woman, was very rude but we wrote it off as her having a bad day. By Monday, we got our application together and submitted it through the crack in the door, as instructed. We submitted a $100 application fee because Jeanette insisted that was the price, even though the application said $50 for married couples. By Tuesday afternoon, we hadn't heard anything so we called to make sure everything was there. No answer, no calls back. On Wednesday, we called several times. No answer, no calls back. Around 3 on Wednesday, Jeanette finally answered the phone and rudely told us that they would know by end of business day. I asked if she would call or email to let us know. She told me she does "One call" and emails. Not sure why she said "One call". I did not expect her to call me over and over, like I had to. Thursday came and we still heard nothing. Called several times, no answer, no calls back, no email responses. My husband got a hold of another office person late in the day who said Jeanette was gone and she couldn't find anything about us in the office. She said we would get a call from Jeanette first thing in the morning. Now it is Friday. No call. We called again a few times. No answer, no calls back. At 12:30pm, my husband decided to drive out there to talk to someone. We live in Melbourne so this was inconvenient. When my husband arrived, Jeanette was very rude to him and told him that we were approved but she did not know our deposit amount. There was another man there complaining because he put down his deposit and everything and his secured apartment was sold out from under him. Like how we are treated, Jeanette refuses to do anything for him and takes no responsibility. My husband was SO mad and he never, ever gets mad. He is really passive and lets things go but he insisted I make a complaint to the management company. Jeanette finally JUST called me at almost 4pm on Friday to tell me that our deposit is $1,320 and that it's due no later than 5pm TOMORROW. First of all, that is no time to collect that kind of money and, second, we have impeccable renting history and have rented from a lot of different places in the last 10 years because of needing to move around. We have never once been quoted such an outrageous price! I called Demetree Management Company, who owns the property, and made a formal complaint and request to get our application fee back. I'll update this review when I hear from them. Needless to say, we will not...
Read moreHI!. I've been living at Woodlake Villas almost a year, and I've been very impressed with the management and maintenance team. The staff is friendly and professional, and they always go the extra mile to help residents. Tammi, the Assistant Manager, is particularly outstanding. She is always willing to listen to concerns and help find solutions. She is also very knowledgeable about the apartment complex and the surrounding area. Mari, the Manager, seems really nice as well, although I haven't had to deal with her very much. Yeidalys, the leasing professional is nice, helpful, friendly, and I hope she stays. Amos, the groundskeeper, does a great job of keeping the grounds clean and well-maintained. He is also very friendly and approachable. John, the Maintenance Supervisor, was particularly helpful when there was a flood in my apartment in September. He calmed me down and assured me that he would take care of the situation. He made some calls, and within a short period of time, people were there working on my apartment. They were able to get the water out of my apartment and install a new water heater. I am very grateful to John and his team for their quick response and professional service. Overall, I am very happy with my experience at Woodlake Villas. The staff is friendly and professional, and the apartments are well-maintained. I would highly recommend Woodlake Villas to anyone looking for a great place to...
