So Iâve tried to give this store the benefit of the doubt. When I first began shopping consistently and no one knew I was there looking for Hello Kitty items, the employees were pretty much always nice to me. Once they figured out I was there for Hello Kitty, that completely changed. Shopping there became a stressful and uncomfortable experience for me. Going from employees telling me they canât help me find anything over the phone to they canât help me with anything at all. The manager approached me to talk about my experience and said that employees were scared of helping me because I looked agitated and wonât help ME because they think I will get them into trouble. Wouldnât you feel agitated too if an employee youâve never even spoken to walks by you and says, âI wish I had that kind of time,â or two other employees whisper at each other while staring DIRECTLY at you. Up until this point I had never been a problem for any employee at that store so I did not deserve that. Iâm in summer break, I can go wherever I want for as long as I want. You canât provide information over the phone, your employees wonât give me any information in the store so my only choice is to hang out at the store in order to find the items I want. Hello Kitty flies off the shelves unless you are there as soon as it comes out of the back. My best friend and I collect Hello Kitty and if we could buy these items anywhere else we would. It would be one thing if I was the only person that felt like this except that my friends have all had the same experience I have, that employees and managers alike tend to be rude to anyone that shops for Hello Kitty. Although she claims the reason why the employees canât help me is because I come off as agitated, she told me to ask for a manager and I would get the help that I need. She said they could even pull things from the back. Iâve approached several employees, tried to calm down my âagitated,â nature to see if they would answer any questions. Employees continue to say they canât help even though the manager assured me they could. The manager was clearly giving me inaccurate information. I canât know for sure if she was ever genuinely trying to help or just lying to me. Yesterday my friend went to the store and knew they had the nurse HK ceramic in the back. She asked a manager if they had the ceramic. The managers very rudely said âHello Kitty is a restricted item. I canât help you.â She then completely ignores her and goes back to staring at her clipboard. My friend wasnât agitated yesterday. Similarly to me, she feels uncomfortable and disrespected by these employees. I feel targeted and no matter how appealing I try to be they continue to act so weird towards me. Iâve tried being understanding considering the craze. Everyone and their mama is looking for HK. Iâve been to plenty of stores in Phoenix and Miami and Iâve never had these issues at any of these stores. Thereâs this animosity and resentment towards anyone looking for HK items at this specific store that needs to be addressed. Even at other stores in Tucson, I am never treated in this manner. Looking at this storeâs reviews, Iâm not surprised to see other customers have had a similar experience with employees being rude. They continue to bully customers and waste their time but then expect them to be okay with that. One day they had a full rack of a bunch of hello kitty blankets in the back in view from the window. I went to try to find an employee and when I came back they had moved the rack out of the way. When I asked the employee (same one that whispers with her friend) if she could pull them out she pretended not to know anything about it. I insisted I saw them and she called over a manager and brought them out. Keep in mind, I wasnât being rude, I very calmly informed her I know that they were just there. They know we want certain items and will hide them. This is why Iâm not sure if they actually want to help even when they claim they do. They claim that they canât keep anything in the back but thatâs...
Read moreI went to shop with a friend and her daughter Thursday, June 20th. I had selected two items that had been marked down with the red price tag on them. I normally walk out of there with a basket FULL of great stuff but it seems that their selection was lacking. The cashier took my two items, she rang them in and then told me that they were not on sale. She said they were mis-marked. One of the items I was only going to get because it was so cheap and cute. The other was a coat hanger that I really wanted. So I paid full price! Way more than the red sticker price⊠The other, she started to call for a price check. I told her never mind, whatever the price, if it wasnât on sale, I didnât need another nick-knack. The whole time she acted like I was trying to steal the two things from the store. She said someone placed the sale price tags on these items from some other items. She was rude and made me feel like she was accusing me of wrong doing. Then she started telling all other cashiers to watch out for tags that are on the wrong items. She had an associate come to get the nick-knack to get a price. I tried to tell the associate where I found it, on clearance on an end cap. But she rudely walked off. I told the cashier that I tried to tell her and the cashier rudely said she would let her know if she needed to. Man, Iâve never felt accused of stealing yet this is how I felt. My friend and I left and I told her what happened. She said it was quite strange and she was glad she hadnât bought anything on clearance. We did agree not to go back to that store anymore. Their customer service skills lack and the management must not have much of a clue if their products are...
Read moreI got four beautiful pillows for my husband's bulky couch to add a touch of femininity. I needed five pillows, they were one short. I bought them anyways since they would go well with the sectional and were really quite stunning. I figured they would have the one at their other store, so I called the store across town. The woman on the phone was very polite, and checked and found they didn't have the pillow on the floor to complete my ensemble. She said they bring new shipments every week, and to check back next week, they might get more back in. Yes, she was helpful and courteous, but really how helpful was she? I had all the numbers from the tag, my question is why didn't she offer to look it up, and order it for me. If box stores want to compete with online service, they are going to have to beef up their customer service responsiveness. That alternative was not a viable option, since it was not suggested. I will have to go back and check both stores in a week...it would have been easier to offer to order it, and ship it to me. Despite the store clerks lack of fortuitness; I really like my pillows and hope to find more in a week. If not, I guess I will be looking for a manager in a week that can help me locate the pillow I need. I gave the store 4 points because I love my pillows and the service was really good, just not exceptional. If it were exceptional; I would have my...
