Submitted my application online over two weeks ago after I received my Ameren disconnection notice. It said online since it was a critical case they would process the application within 24 hours. I never heard anything. I called several times and no one returns calls. I found an alternative number and called it. The recording gave me another number to call to be able to check the status of my application, when I called it and enter the information it said they have processed and approved my application, so I thought maybe it was just a delay with Ameren updating my account, but NOPE! I went to the location 2 days ago since I still hadn’t seen any updates to actually speak with a person since my electric is scheduled to be disconnected the 27th which is now tomorrow. I told the lady at the desk the phone line said it was approved but I hadn’t received any notification from them and my Ameren account still shows in scheduled for disconnection. I was told, they do not update the phone lines. Smh. She pulled up my application and said she will mark it as critical, which it should have already been marked as according to the website. She said they will begin working on it right away. Still nothing! Stop advertising that you will do something within a certain time frame if you cannot meet those expectations! Stop making people wait until they get a disconnect notice just to be able to get the full credit to cover their bill, when you cannot meet the turn around time that you provided! Do better! I appreciate their service and don’t know what I would do without it but it is extremely frustrating when you follow all their guidelines but they cannot hold up their end! I pray to get out of this financial rut soon because having to depend on an agency who is supposed to be there for the people but who really don’t give a crap about you or your families...
Read moreUPDATE: 02/07/25 this company still has not paid for the repairs they agreed to pay. I had to pay for the repairs out of my pocket and they refused to pay all together. The shop would not let me get my car out of the shop. It’s taken them nearly 4 months to come up with no solution!!!THE SUPPORT SERVICES ARE NOT SUPPORTIVE if you agree to pay and don’t.I WOULD'VE LOST MY JOB AND TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM SCHOOL had i waited on them. I contacted them several times by calling and leaving numerous messages, I also sent several emails and never heard back from them until they sent me a notice saying they denied me.
They denied me because obviously they don't understand how taxes are prepared. I received a 1099 and claimed it on my application but they wanted a paycheck stub. 1099s don't give paycheck stubs!!!!!!!!!
I've told them this several times. They don't seem to understand the difference between the W-2 and a 1099 form. 1099 form is like being self-employed. I claimed all of my income which was well under the amount and they still didn't help me. Apparently, they show preferential treatment.
