This overlook over one of the many gorgeous views of Monterey Bay appears to have been recently renovated, allowing additional vehicles to park and enjoy the beauty. Parking is free and it is such a beautiful spot to just park and take in the sights.
The tide was at its low point while were there, and we had just had a good-sized storm roll through, so the waves were rough and spectacular. A walking trail is nestled in next the coast and runs for miles. You will see couples strolling, joggers, folks having an impromptu picnic on one of the many benches, unique plant life, chipmunks and ground squirrels, birds galore, and even sea otters (they were riding the wave swells while we watched). If you're lucky, you'll even see a breaching whale!

The iconic โKissing Rockโ formation truly lives up to its name โ two giant rocks meeting at a point, shaped like a perfect kiss from nature! The walking trail along the coast is peaceful, well-maintained, and filled with blooming flowers, making it perfect for a morning stroll or a romantic evening. Benches along the path offer a chance to sit, reflect, and take in the panoramic ocean views. Itโs also a great spot for photography, especially during sunset when the light hits the rocks just right. If youโre visiting Monterey or Pacific Grove, this spot is a must-see. Quiet, scenic, and full of charm โ itโs natureโs own...
