I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share the absolutely appalling experience my wife and I had during our stay at this hotel. Where do I even begin? The rooms are shockingly outdated, with no heating or cooling system to provide even basic comfort. It was freezing at night, and the lack of climate control made it nearly impossible to rest. Breakfast, which was advertised as “included,” consisted of a single cookie, a toffee, and a piece of cheese—hardly a meal, let alone something worth mentioning as a feature. The service? Nonexistent. After 6 PM, the staff disappears, leaving guests completely stranded. If you encounter any issues after that time, don’t bother trying to get help—you’ll just be wasting your energy. To add to the misery, there’s no parking nearby. You’ll likely have to park far from the hotel and haul your luggage by yourself. If your room happens to be on the second floor, prepare for a grueling climb up the stairs, as there’s no elevator. And once you finally reach your room, you’re greeted by an icy, uncomfortable space that feels more like a punishment than accommodation. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice and save their money. The lack of refunds only adds insult to injury. To make matters worse, I’d recommend having excellent health insurance if you dare to stay here—you’re bound to get sick from the cold, substandard conditions. In conclusion, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Please, for your own sake, avoid this place. Thank you for reading, and I hope my review helps someone avoid this nightmare.

Rooms were quaint but a bit run-down. Broken screen doors, broken shades, holes in sheets, no air conditioning, etc. Cleanliness, however, was decent, and the location was quiet. The main issues were service and amenities. We arrived around 7:00 PM and the lodge was completely unstaffed. We had to call a number to open a lockbox to retrieve a key to our room. 1-star motels typically do better than this. Basic housekeeping, as they put it, was “suspended,” they claim due to “COVID-19.” But this was in 2025! Ask any doctor and they will tell you there is no risk from COVID-19 in 2025 that warrants this. Apparently the breakfast they advertise was also trapped in the 2020 time-distortion field. A cookie, a croissant, and a tiny cheese? Far and away the worst complimentary breakfast I’ve even seen. The entire experience was like this: abysmal service and amenities, using as an excuse a pandemic that ended over two years ago and a virus to which we achieved herd immunity via a large-scale campaign of vaccination around four years ago. Make no mistake: they are ripping you off. In short, without these basic amenities, they cannot claim to be a 3-star hotel, or even a 2-star hotel. This is (or used to be) a nice 1-star hotel which charges for 3-star service.

I had a wonderful time. The staff was extra attentive and upgraded my room to a balcony room at no extra charge. I stayed 2 nights. The price was right. Everything was located in close proximity to the hotel. I didn’t eat breakfast because honestly we came to eat shrimp and clam chowder bread bowls. The staff was awesome and gave me 2 juice boxes on my way out after I was checking out for my kids. We had 2 deers right outside our hotel room. The views were amazing. Parking wasn’t an issue we got right in and even though they close the front office at 6 pm they texted us prior with instructions on obtaining our keys. All around just a great vibe. Regardless of what other reviews say I enjoyed my visit and the vibe was right. I would definitely return. Especially the location and price you definitely can’t beat it. Overall my kids had a great experience and time so that’s priceless to me. Sending a shout out to the Olympia Lodge for showing love.

I’ve stay at this hotel before and it was okay so I decided we would stay here again but that was a huge mistake. Not sure if something changed here but this time we check in and they gave us the key 🔑 (actually a key) and we went to our room to find a sliding glass door as the front door. Upon entering the room there was a nasty smell and it was very hot. We decided to leave the sliding glass door open and close the screen door to air it out. The screen door was broken and would barely close let alone lock. So that was a problem for us. There wasn’t air conditioning so we knew we need to leave the screen door open all night. We went in to talk to the lady at the front desk, who could careless and said, sorry nothing we can do. We only have one other room with a king instead of the 2 queen beds we had reserved. I said, okay and left but after going back to the room they gave us and feeling how stinky and stuffy it was we knew we would need to leave the slider open and because the screen didn’t lock we didn’t feel comfortable. So we decided to ask for the other room. When we went back to ask for the other room the attitude the two ladies had when we went into the office was uncalled for so we asked for the manager to which one of the girls said, I am the manager. I was shocked so I asked what is your name, to which she would not give me. I then tried to explain to her why we weren’t comfortable and she said sorry nothing I can do. Meanwhile 2 other guests came in and got rooms, which they told us they didn’t have anything. I just wanted to see if they could even fix the screen but the attitude just got worse then the other lady there chimed in and said, you guys just need to go, that’s your problem. I said, can I get the owners information, the manager said nope, you’ll never find him. I just couldn’t believe the lack of customer service or care for their customers. So I said, we would like a refund because we need to go somewhere else that we feel secure. They refused to give us a refund then said, if we didn’t leave they would call the cops to escort us off the premises. I then said, if you’re not going to refund us then please call the police because this is not fair. They ended up calling the police to which we explained our side of the story to them and the police we’re finally able to get us a refund for us. Thee lack of care, cleanliness and customer service at this hotel is evident and not what I will put up with in a hotel. I will never...

It's a cute place in a beautiful town. The room itself is nice when you walk in. Everything you'd expect in a hotel room are there: beds, pillows, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, hair dryer (under the sink), iron and ironing board (in the closet), and extra towels (in the closet). The beds were a little on the firm side for me, but not the worst I've slept on. Each bed had four pillows that seemed new and not flattened yet. As other online reviews stated, the TV is an older one, not flat screen. The cable is also not digital so you have to flip through the channels to see what's on. There is no channel guide in the room to list which channel is which. For some reason steps echo through the building so you can hear someone walking within 30 feet of your room (at least it seems that way), and all steps sound like stomps. The bathroom wasn't as bad as what I expected after reading some online reviews. It could use some updating, but it was functional and clean. Our shower stall had water pouring out of the tub faucet so the shower water pressure was half what it could have been. They offer a Graco pack n play for families who ask for a crib and can note it on your reservation if you call to request it. Bring a pack n play sheet or ask for an extra flat sheet to cover the bottom since it has obviously been used by a few kids. Once we figured out what channel to watch, we all settled in for a restful night's sleep and woke to find young deer in the walkway just outside our room. Super neat! The breakfast consisted of cereal, English muffins, store bought pastries, milk, OJ, coffee, and tea. Even though it was supposed to be served until 9:30, they were out of some things and were starting to clean up by 9:15. The pastry tray was left out until 9:30 on the dot. There was no fresh fruit offered as far as we could see. That being said, what was available was tasty and let us start our day without having to stop for breakfast. Check out and check in were both easy, and the front desk staff were helpful the one time we called with a question about the tv. I would stay here again when in the area since the price is good, the room is clean and comfortable, the setting is great, and the staff is friendly...

I would strongly advise AGAINST staying at Olympia lodge. No staff on site, except for very limited hours means you are calling numbers to get your keys out of lock boxes. The room has a locking sliding glass door vs. a normal door that was incredibly sticky and heavy to slide open. There were no curtains but rather wooden slabs that slid on runners that were heavy and hard to move and did not give the darkness that curtains do. The bathroom door in the room did not close properly and did not lock at all. There was a fridge in the room that ran very loudly with with a loud popping noise every time it came on, waking me up several times during the night. The thermostat in the room was installed upside down, so not even sure how to control the temperature. There was only one small bar of soap provided by the sink and liquid dispensers of lesser quality shampoo/conditioner and soap in the shower. The in room coffee provided was TERRIBLE tasking and the single serve coffee maker did not get the coffee water very hot. I have never seen a property rated over 3 stars that was this BAD. It is about a 2 star property at best...and that is being generous. The room had water stains on the ceiling. The grab and go breakfast offered with the room could only be picked up between 8-9AM, so not terribly flexible with that. There are so so many other options in the area that seemed much better for less money. GO ELSEWHERE and do not make the same mistake I did in choosing Olympia Lodge. Due to covid there was no servicing of the room, which is understood, but the lack of someone even in the office mean there was no one for questions, getting or turning in keys, or for breakfast pick up if one was getting an early of late...
