Dates of Stay: September 18th–21st, 2025 Rating: 1/5 The woman at the front desk during check-in was kind and accommodating — unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our stay. Shortly after checking in, the experience took a drastic turn for the worse. Our cabin was in extremely poor condition: Cleanliness: The room was dirty on arrival, with visible mold in multiple areas. There were bugs in the kitchenette, and the refrigerator barely functioned — it would freeze and ice over anything we placed inside. Housekeeping Issues: Room attendants reused dirty linens and never properly cleaned the floors. It was clear the space hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained in some time. Health Concerns: My mother became sick during our stay, likely due to the mold and general filth in the cabin. Customer Service: Any attempt to contact the front desk during the stay was met with no answer or a closed office. We would have checked out early if we had been able to reach someone. After the stay, we attempted multiple times to contact the hotel to explain our concerns — no response. We also contacted Expedia (we booked through them), and even they couldn’t reach anyone for nearly a week. When someone finally responded, they refused any refund or compensation, citing a “loophole” related to third-party bookings. Bottom line: This establishment is unprofessional, poorly maintained, and unresponsive. They showed zero concern for guest health or satisfaction. Had they worked with us to resolve even part of the issue, this review may not have been necessary. DO NOT STAY HERE. Especially if you value cleanliness, customer service, or your health.

Disappointing. We chose this place based on travel website ratings, price, pictures, and proximity to the aquarium. Somehow we got stuck with a dirty and dilapidated room. It was almost comical how the first set of sheets were stained and then the replacement sheets were ALSO stained. I could have let that go had I not felt a sticky floor under my shoes, seen a bug crawling on an outdated desk counter, and seen a corroded shower rod. It definitely did not pass the Anthony Melchiorri (dust) test. It just felt icky after that and I didn't feel comfortable having my little one stay in a room like that. They really should shut down that unit for renovations. We complained and got a better room (which also did not past the dust test), which was more spacious and a bit cleaner/updated. Plumbing is good, water gets hot quick. The area is mostly quiet but the walls are thin. I could hear people slamming their car doors late at night. It woke me up and I thought it was a gun shot. 😳 Towels are moderately soft. The bed was not supportive and pillows were flat. Woke up with hurt back and neck in the morning. The irony is that the original room had a HUGE (but musty) closet while the replacement room had half a closet (also dirty). They really need more consistency at this place, hopefully towards improvements.

At first, this place looks lovely. It’s in a good location and the rooms are decent. I got a king bedroom. At first I thought it was cute and cozy, but after a while, it felt claustrophobic. There was no table/desk to eat or work at, making the only option to eat on the bed (that had white blankets). The tv seemed like it was barely holding on and it was crooked. THERE IS NO POOL or breakfast. I booked this place with the assumption that there would be a pool, but there is only a hot tub. I guess they took out the pool, but haven’t updated google. There was also no AC. They did supply a fan though. The wifi was bad, I could barely use my computer. And there was this huge gap underneath the front door and a cockroach came in at night. I told my mom about my experience and she called them to talk about maybe getting a partial refund. They wouldn’t even let her finish her complaint and basically hung up on her. I was surprised because they were so nice to me when I checked in. Overall, it might be a decent place if you have no complaints and just need a place to sleep.

We really didn’t want to write this review and told the hotel management exactly so in an email, trying to get a response to an issue we had. First of all, the location is good (though the walls are very thin) and the weekend front desk clerk was awesome, which is the only reason we give service 2 stars rather than 1. The rooms are newly remodeled and make for a cute, little dog-friendly motel (though it could use more “potty-friendly” areas for the dogs, a minor detail).

Our big issue is that the management is avoiding us, not returning our calls or emails regarding the loss of power our room had. It was just our room, not the whole hotel. It went out at midnight and was still out when we awoke very cold at 6am, which is when we called the emergency number. A full hour later, the on-call person found our circuit breakers “out back” and reset our power. And then it went out again after 15 minutes. So we called again. We would have been warmer tent-camping because at least we would have known to prepare for a cold night.

Honestly, it would have been nice to receive some compensation for this inconvenience (what if we had a young baby or were elderly and couldn’t tolerate the cold). But, if we had at least gotten an apologetic phone call from management, a promise to fix the issue for future guests, we would NOT be writing this review. It has been two weeks, we’ve left 3-4 voicemails, we’ve talked to the weekend clerk by phone again (she is the one who recommended we contact management), and we have sent two emails (one of which the weekend clerk printed out and left for management since we were not getting a response), and still not a word.

Based on the non-response from management, we cannot recommend this motel. So sad because it really does have some charm and is...

BEWARE: This Motel is falling apart and ‘Management’ doesn’t care! We have stayed before and enjoyed it, mostly due to the location and the fact it’s dog friendly, but this stay was horrible and a rip off at $400 a night. We were checked into a room with a broken shower and had to repack and move (after dinner). We were placed into a DIRTY, un-sanitized room (Covid precautions?) with a broken phone and kitchen lighting. All huge safety hazards. By law hotels have to have a working phone for emergencies. There was even a dresser drawer filled with dirty laundry, including crusty, gooey underwear! So nasty! Dirty counters, dishes and missing supplies. Other peoples bathroom supplies left in the shower. I doubt the beding was clean. So gross! I asked for some sort of refund and they only offered $110! We paid $1400 for this, ridiculous! The night guy trying to help was swamped (he was doing his best), so I didn’t want to give him a worse night and opted to deal with a manager later. I asked to speak to one in the morning and was told they would contact me to discuss. They NEVER did. Had to ask again the next day and was told “yeah, so I told them and they said that’s all we can offer, sorry.” No call or anything. I even emailed the contact on the website and NEVER got a reply that way either. On top of this our neighbors were super loud and had multiple barking dogs and didn’t care.

We won’t be back unless serious action is taken.we deserve to have at least one night refunded, Minimally! I’m so embarrassed I chose this place and ever recommend it. Rip off....
