Giant eagle is a good store overall, however I will not be ordering cakes from here anymore.. I used to get my cakes from here all the time , my oldest is now 19 .. however.. within the last few years I've noticed that the dedication is no longer there, I purchased a cake for my daughter not too long ago and the cake was horrible!! To the point where I didn't even want it.. but on short notice I had no choice.. I asked to speak with the store manager and he also did not seem like he cared.. i showed him the cake and asked him how he would feel to have a cake decorated as horrible as this was.. mind you i ordered the cake two or three weeks prior.. his exact reply was , well i dont eat cake so it wouldn't apply to me.. as a manager that's supposed to listen, and try to make things easier, that's not an answer you should give .. i could tell he was un interested in resolving the issue and i also could tell he thought i was trying to get something for free.. the last comment that sealed it was well they work in a bakery , theyre not artists .. i could have said well im a customer and i dont feel like paying and you should hire cake decorators to decorate cakes since they are only bakers.. after 17 plus years i will never order another cake from here again.. that comment alone made me not want to even shop here.. even though the manager on duty lacked the ability to use B.L.A.S.T or even seem to remember T.O.P.S i can understand why my cake was made poorly.. otherwise, my interactions there have been...

They do it all absolutely free of charge. We have done this twice now. The personal shoppers are quite friendly and cheerful. Its freezing out tonight and our shopper was bubbly and happy for our business. This service is wonderful. I hate shopping and my husband is handicapped so this is great for us. We save about 10 to 20 dollars a trip doing curbside pick-up because when we shop ourselves we tend to pick up temptation items we dont really need. Our order was perfect when we got home. The fresh tomatoes and salad items and fresh basil were better than expected. They really cared about picking the best items to fill my order. I'm proud to give 5 stars for outstanding service.    Read moreWith plenty to offer, Giant Eagle of Painesville is more than just friendly place that exceeds your shopping needs. Boasting with a staff thats always smiling, and eager to help, great hours of operation, and fair prices, itâs not hard to see why even the fellow shoppers seem to have a chipper, working class collective.
The store has an aesthetic, welcoming feel. Starting off, a stroll through the plethora of produce, âleafsâ me without a âcarrot allâ. Upon walking through the dairy section, Iâm so âuddurlyâ astonished with their selection, thereâs âgouda brie 100 different cheeses.
Next we have the Bakery. Now this section is the âapple of my pieâ. After all, they say âlive is all you kneadâ, Muffin compares to the fresh baked goodies, but letâs not âloafâ, letâs ârollâ to the deli.
Ah yes, the deli. The best around, now matter how you âslice itâ. With the freshest flavors so outta this world, their turkey and ham should be called âlaunch meatâ, I suppose at some point, it would become a meat-eorâ. Sorry to trail off, I have a short...
