Signature Health — Local services in Painesville

I thought this place might be of some help after having left the other agency in this area and facing some concerns about living conditions, which I expressed up front. WRONG.

1. It took about two months to even begin the process of being assigned to a case manager.

2. Getting bounced around to different case managers because no one could figure out where I was assigned. How did it change three times before any meeting happened?

3. First one hung up on me after getting a bit aggressive. This will become a common theme.

4. Assigned case manager marks appointments as missed despite them being attended. Other providers ask you why you missed appointments.

5. Case manager won't contact you or respond no matter how urgent nor their explanation of what they plan on doing. No follow-through. Clearly no interest in helping.

6. Cannot get ahold of anyone. Care coordinator says you can leave a voicemail, but you can't actually do that. Better be available during working hours

7. Not equipped for accommodation. Don't apply if you have communication difficulties.

8. Multiple cancellations. Every service cancelled at least once within half a year.

9. Front desk is kind of nasty. Will hang up on you, won't respond to questions sent online, blows you off despite that being the only way to get in touch with the agency half the time.

10. Therapy is the same as anywhere. It's a luxury good that churns out generic witticisms for people who don't have socially-driven problems. Therapy is a device of social complacency in a failing society to begin with, so why subject yourself to the same old wash cycle?

11. They will also try to sell you drugs, of course.

It's been months and no one has even bothered trying to follow-up. Not even a single message from the case manager. Even the other place had more initiative and concern, usually.

Disappointing but not surprising.

Update - for what it's worth, I did call the listed number and left a message. No response, of course.

Had gotten a call from some random employee about rescheduling with the therapist. First of all, I did not want to see the therapist again. Second, someone (front desk?) picked up and the noise was so bad I could barely hear them. They sounded so disinterested, too, like a hostile family member you never want to talk to. Eventually got to the person, left a voicemail, NO RESPONSE.

Still trying to contact anyone through the online portal, bascially begging them for suggestions. Not expecting even the courtesy...

Signature health has been harassing me for months. They leave text messages on my phone for a person named Ariane at first I thought I would be nice and call them to let them know they have the wrong person when I called I was on hold waiting for someone to answer, no one ever answered. One day I got a phone call with Ariane test results I explained to the person that I am not Ariane and I would like them to stop sending me messages she said she would delete my number. The messages continue to come I have blocked their number and messages show up from another number. I have messaged them STOP they keep coming. I have spoken to 3 other individuals that assured me they would fix the problem still does no good. I get several message per week sometimes 3 in a day about up coming appointment reminders or cancelations one lady told me they don’t have anyone by that name associated with my number. So what’s the problem? Part of their mission is to HELP people with mental health issues, they are doing nothing to help mine. When will this STOP I am going to have to file a restraining order against them, then perhaps...

I hardly even know where to begin after what they did to my child the truth be told about signature health it is for adult mental health and adult addiction or dual diagnosis. They should not be treating children here this is the mental health cesspool of Hope. My child went there from February of 2009 until February of 2020 because my son never significantly improved after a DNA swab telling us which meds he should stay away from it came to reality that every med he should not have been on what are the meds that they were prescribing and it was driving my son into psychotic episodes but nobody down there wants to own up to the fact that all they did for more than a decade I am very disgusted with this place this is not a treatment center for children at all.
