First off, four kinds of Kimchi were super delicious. It's like a well-made food court with luxurious interiors and some specialized dishes such as soft tofu soup and dumplings.
Food tastes good enough. Several kinds of Kimchi with traditional, very spicy, salty, and sweet flavors can make your mouth water.
Due to the self-service style, it's cheaper than other restaurantsnear here, but the side dish station is crowded and creates unnecessary congestion. Also, the cashier is just located in front of the front door, and people get frustrated to pass the self-service areas. I would strongly like to suggest they should change the layouts.
It was interesting to watch fifteen units of rice cookers running all together.
The grilled mackerel is humongous, and you can share with 2-4 people.
They opened up two businesses in August. This restaurant has Korean traditional dumpling soup and soft tofu soup as major dishes. I would like to go one more time to try dumplings, and would like to recommend you to visit once because you can also explore the famous neighbor, an Artisan Boulanger which seems much more popular there as well.

ย ย ย Read moreI have been a regular customer at Yesan since last year and have ordered the potato stew on multiple occasions. Recently, I noticed a clear inconsistency in the quality and portioning compared to my previous visits. On my most recent order, the potato pieces alone took up nearly half of the container (about 32 oz out of 64 oz), while the meat portion was minimal about 3 pieces this time, compared to only 2 pieces before.
When I called to respectfully address this concern, I was told that the meat portion was โappropriate.โ I explained that I had been a consistent customer and that the stew was different from what I had received in the past. The response I received was dismissive, telling me that if I felt that way, I simply did not need to order again.
As someone who has experience working as a chef and overseeing food service operations, I found this response highly unprofessional and disappointing. Instead of acknowledging customer feedback, I was essentially told to take my business elsewhere.
Consistency, quality, and professionalism are essential in the restaurant industry, and unfortunately, my recent experiences at Yesan have not reflected...
ย ย ย Read morehis place LOOKS like it would be the perfect korean restaurant but dont let the exterior of this place fool you -like how we've been fooled. They were advertising "new breakfast menu" for 9.99 so we decided to try it out.
The place is really clean and spacious and the staff is super kind. Everything is perfect except the food. The food LOOKs good and the side dishes look like the real deal but i am completely convinced its not korean who is cooking these food. The kimchi looks delicious but its basically raw with zero seasoning. We got dumpling rice cake soup and it was like hot water with tasteless dumplings. Got gookbap and it was just spicy hot water, got soontofu which was probably the most distgusting variation of soontofu ive tried. There was an elderly korean couple sitting next to us and she took three bites of her food and left without even opening up her rice bowl cover. It was THAT bad. I give this place few more weeks before they close.
Dont be fooled by how it looks. You are just paying for hot water in...
