Won't be ordering from here again. I live in NC and ordered flowers for my mom who lives in Flagler Beach. Meant of course to be a surprise post surgery. Gave my phone number when filling out the information online so that if changes needed to be made, they would contact me, and not my mom, which would have ruined the surprise. Good thing I did, b/c they had to call me about switching out the base of the arrangement since they didn't have the one that I ordered. That's totally fine, not a big problem.
Today is supposed to be the delivery day and I get a missed call from what turns out to be the owner, no voicemail. I call her back within 10 minutes of the missed call, she's still in the car, and she tells me that she was "2 meters" from my mom's house and because I didn't answer my phone (as it's the middle of the work day) to confirm the delivery, she never even attempted to deliver the flowers, and that now I'm going to have to pay a second delivery fee for them to "try" again. My mom was home, apparently only "2 meters" from the delivery driver, and they didn't even knock on the door. Her cell phone kept dropping the signal so I called the flower shop to continue the conversation.
I was speaking with someone else at the shop, when apparently the owner arrived back and hopped back on the phone to tell me that it was my fault because I gave them the incorrect phone number and that they will not attempt to deliver the flowers without confirming via phone call first. She said I should have given them my mom's phone number instead of mine, which again, would have ruined the surprise when they called to confirm changing the base. She kept going on about how hot it is today and that they won't leave flowers outside... she wouldn't have had to of left them outside as my mom was home...
It says nothing on their website or during the order process about requiring a confirmation phone call prior to delivery UNLESS you request contactless delivery, which I did not.
How in the world would surprise flower deliveries remain a surprise if the flower shop required a confirmation call before they were delivered.... especially if the flowers are being delivered to someone who lives by themselves?! If that is the case, that they do require a confirmation, it should be made very clear when filling out the contact info online and I would hope that they would give you a window of time within a couple of hours to be expecting a call.
I got none of that, but instead a rude conversation with the owner and a second delivery charge. Terrible customer service, I'd suggest you find another florist.
*Stephanie from the shop called and apologized for the confusion about the delivery. They refunded both of my delivery charges. The flowers that did eventually get delivered were very well done and my mom really loved them! Thank...
Read moreI placed two orders for a funeral service with Blooming Flowers & Gifts flower shop on 2/24. I was very specific with Audrey regarding the details of the arrangements. I emphasized they both had to be pink toned. From my understanding, they were not pink. I am out of town but the family told me the flowers were pretty but not pink. A family member sent me a picture of one of the two orders confirming this. I work in the flower industry and purposely researched the area using google ratings, social media posts (FB & Insta) to determine the flower shop I use for orders. The funeral home recommended a flower shop which I did not like. After taking some significant time to do all this, I settled with Blooming Flowers & Gifts (not impressed overall with the floral work in the area). I spoke to Audrey twice, first to ask some questions, including if they had pink flowers to fill my order and other delivery details. One order was the Pink Potpourri bouquet and the other was the Guiding Light (in Pink) arrangement. I called again to place both orders, The day after the service, family called me thanking me for the flowers and did say the flowers were pretty but not what in the colors I requested. This was very disappointing. I placed two orders, the second order was from the deceased in-laws, and they were upset as well. This was our only request. I came back here to google reviews and after sorting the reviews from worst to best, I found the worst reviews were of the same experience. I found a couple of bad reviews were of out of town customers placing orders with flowers arrangements not fulfilling the order as requested. Perhaps the flower shop does not think it has to complete the order as requested because the customer is out of state? What ever the case, it is poor customer service. If for some reason they did not have the pink toned flowers for my orders, they should have contacted me via phone, email or text asking me for a second choice. This is good customer service, at a minimum.
** Response: I think you misunderstood. I am not looking for reimbursement nor for your shop to replace the flowers. I wanted an explanation. This is why I emailed you before posting a review. When you asked for a photograph, I told you I deleted it and was not going to approach the family again with a request for a picture. They are mourning. I responded to your email with this info, and your shop did not respond. As I said, I work in the industry. And we DO photograph all funeral work. It is typical practice for many shops. You see, when it comes to fulfilling an order. We DO call the customer letting them know order can not be completed as requested. We offer a second option. In addition, I am not the only customer complaining on how you handle out of...
Read moreCHANGED OWNERS--NEW OWNER USES A CALL CENTER.
I'm leaving my original review, which was a 5 star rating. Blooming USED to be locally owned and Renata was a sweet lady who took pride in every arrangement Blooming delivered.
But she no longer owns the shop; sold it in 2023. And it shows. Just recently they quit taking phone calls at the shop--you are to order through a call center. If you need to speak to the florist (and who doesn't--the call center obviously doesn't know what flowers they have available and they can't answer any questions), the call center will only schedule a call back. You cannot call and place an order at that time if you have any questions.
I had noticed that their prices online have increased quite a bit in the last year. Now I know why. And the lady at the call center would not even tell me the name of the call center.
JUST STOP WITH THE CALL CENTERS AND THE CALL BACKS. Won't order from Blooming again. this is ridiculous. It's a STUPID and unsustainable business "model" for a business that requires real-time info.
I predict the locally-owned, successful business that Renata ran for all those years will flounder in short order. Whoever bought the place runs it under a different name--it's no longer filed with the state under Blooming Flowers. Probably part of a corporation now. So sad.

The best local florist around. Freshest flowers. They do not use old flowers. Also the only florist in the area where you can walk in and choose and buy your own individual stems. They usually have a good selection on hand.
There are two other florists in the Palm Coast area, and I have received arrangements from both. I also have a friend nearby who has received arrangements from one of the other florists. I don't recommend either of those florists; every arrangement they've made has some old flowers in it that die within a day or two. You don't get what you pay for.
Received two Christmas arrangements just this week; one from Blooming and one from Art Among the Flowers. The one from Blooming is several days old and still gorgeous; the flowers (lilies and roses) were not yet fully opened and they have blossomed beautifully. The AATF arrangement, otoh, arrived w/ roses that were already turning brown around the edges of the petals. It's a Teleflora arrangement, and while a nice arrangement, it is already on its way out.
I bought this same Teleflora arrangement from Blooming several days ago for someone else and what a difference between the two. Blooming used large roses and even though it was pre-made—not made to order—it is in better shape than the AATF arrangement I...
