Atelier № 27 — Local services in Palm Desert

I had no idea this new shop was here, but another vintage shop around the corner raved about them and suggested I check it out. I looked for the green awning as instructed, and as I walked in I was greeted immediately by the owner with a cheery message: Hey girl, you look so cool in your outfit! As I started to look around I found my way again to the owner, who introduced herself as Jenny and explained that her store was a hybrid mix of vintage, consignment and new clothes, shoes, jewelry & accessories. The store was bright, colorful and cheery, and every item was carefully curated and displayed to perfection. There were festive, colorful blankets next to hand painted dinnerware, fancy Mexican mirrors and woven purses that decorated the shop with artistry. I perused the racks and found a perfect gently used denim shirt that is similar to my very expensive Ralph Lauren one but in a lighter weight fabric, which I was dreaming of finding - for $24 bucks. Jenny is clearly in her happy place here and wants to share her unique eye for colorful, casual & culture-cool chic, and her enthusiasm is infectious. Best and most productive shopping trip in my life. Popped in after Jen at Peach Whiskers told me about it, went with no intention of what I wanted or needed. Beautifully curated shop. I am not a big shopper, but my husband mentioned this new clothing store across from the comic book shop he frequents, so I thought I’d pop by with my fashion-loving mom.
