CUSTOMER BEWARE: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
First they didn't include all of the items in our pick-up order (we were ordering lunch for a lunch meeting). When we called they said they would replace it but when I arrived (after our meeting) they said someone else had picked it up! So either they lied or they're so careless they gave my food to somebody else!!
They were unapologetic and made me feel like I was there trying to get something for free! When in fact they had charged for the meal.
The manager Ann lied and said the person who picked it up was dressed like me, when I said we don't have uniforms she said the person was wearing a blazer like me, when I said nobody but me wears blazers in the office, she changed it to "I meant the name tag" and kept on that lie despite me telling them that nobody from the office could've picked it up as our meeting had just concluded and I was there because while everyone ate, all I had was the lonely side salad they sent.
Then the cashier (young guy) said he confirmed it was a young Hispanic lady (only person who fits the description got on the phone with me and confirmed she never picked it up). But neither offered any type of resolution to me paying over $10 for a side salad!! Neither apologized for their first mistake of not including the Pita in the order, or their incompetence in not making sure that the correct person picked up the food. Neither cared to provide any type of solution... what a great manager Ann showed to be (sarcasm).
Long story short, instead of trying to make amends they made me feel like I was trying to fool them for a d*mn chicken pita! I left angry but later called to ask for a number where I could complain, Ann put me on hold for 5 minutes and I had to call back again to finally get a number, which turned out to be a cell phone (what corporate office has a cell phone and not an office phone??)
Finally I Googled the Corporate office and will wait to see if this "family oriented" restaurant really cares about their customers. In the meantime they have lost not only my business but also that of all of my coworkers (and to think we were preparing to have a staff lunch catered from this place next week!!) FOOLISH EMPLOYEES!! I will post this review in the Corporate office as well... hopefully saving more people from something similar...
Read moreI had previously given Luna Grill 4 starts out of 5 but I've now been back and my old review is exactly right... So I've given them the last star back because, while the Hummus is still distinctly blah, they are at least reliable. When you go there, you will get a good meal at an affordable price.
But, don't go there for the Hummus. It's edible but hummus should be so much more than just "edible".
Below is my original review...
I've been guilted (in a good way) into writing a review of Luna Grill.
I had initially given it 4 stars out of 5, but without writing anything. The management replied, thanking me and hoping to get the fifth star on my next visit so I want to clarify why they didn't get that fifth star.
My wife and I ate here because we both like Mediterranean cuisine and we'd never eaten here before. She had the Chicken and Giro plate and I had the Chicken Pita with a hummus plate as a starter.
My Chicken Pita (with the Chipotle sauce) was absolutely yummy. The salad in the pita had a zesty dressing on it as well and it was the total bees knees. Highly recommended.
The missus did not get the hummus side that she'd ordered but she didn't care enough to ask for it and the Hummus plate provided more than enough hummus to replace the missing dollop. Apart from that, I think she enjoyed her meal but she didn't finish her rice and she let me have all of her salad - my guess is that the rice was a bit bland and, while I like zesty salad dressing, she's more of a creamy girl so that was probably due to different tastes.
The real reason for the dropped star is that the Hummus plate was distinctly blah. I'm a Nice Jewish Boy and, while not in the class of the Zohan, I do love me some hummus. But Luna's hummus was kinda tasteless. Maybe it was swamped by the flavorful Chicken Pita but... Yeah, that's not an acceptable excuse. Get some lemon juice in there and make the hummus dance on my tastebuds like it should !
The French fries did make for a decent french fry sandwich with the pita bread from the hummus plate but that's not what that pita was designed for !
So, Luna comfortably deserves four stars but needs to up it's Hummus game to get that fifth. From me, at least.
I did love their lemonade as well, though. Call it...
Read moreCame here with my oldest daughter from out of town, looking for a good mediterranean place to eat in hopes for a good experience.. We ordered the pita wrap and signature flat chicken plate. She ended up not liking the sauce on the wrap, between the flavor and the spices. Not to mention that my tray had the smallest amount of chicken for the price it was... Now she's a big girl so I told her to go in and ask if she can order the pitta wrap bread separately to transfer her food from the wrap that was made over to fresh pita bread. She came back out and told me it would be a dollar fifty, I said okay but make sure they understand it's the wrap bread that you want not the whole meal. Instead of offering to give her another bread for the wrap they charged we her a whole another meal after telling her the sauce shouldn't have been on the wrap and that it would cost the same with or with out the salad. They talked her into buying another meal.. This obviously upset me because It went from just two meals at 30 $ to three at 40.$ for just her and I. What upset me the most is that' the lady behind the counter had an attitude after I went back in to get the situation resolved because I got charged a whole other meal and the fact that she tried to put all of the blame on my daughter instead of just offering a good customer service solution. Now I am giving two stars because the. Gentleman was nice and had great customer service but the girl employee had the worste customer service. With a...
